Is there any easy way to spot doubled frames? Don't want tips on doing it or methods of hiding it. Just need to know how to spot it without a scope.

What are we looking for here??? Things created by builders, cheated, welded up creations, stacked frames, capped frames, "factory" double frames, tow package etc. Need a little more info.

Look for a freshly painted frame. If its painted its cheated.
An appetite for destruction is more than an awesome album.

Easiest way is look for grinding marks an pits from welders. The edges/corners is where you look for flaws. Few years ago dad an his buddys was techin with no scopes an found stuff that big name promotor let through at a fair show couple times bc they didn't see with scope but didn't look for the flaws. Got to know each car of where they normally bend so u mainly look there so u don't slow tech down

You can usually just look at the welds on the frame seams, however there are some really good cheaters out there. Im still not sure how you can easily tell a properly heat treated frame that waa done in an oven. I have no experience with it so don't know what to look for. Kinda off subject but relative.

And that's why if I was a promoter and your frame is painted your car stays on the trailer... If you put frames outside for a couple months, the paint doesn't look brand new 😉

My problem- I know how guys cheat theoretically but can't weld or hide anything worth a crap. Makes me a chicken shoot when it comes to trying to do anything on my cars.
Some guys cheated cars are art. See two cars go nose to nose that are identical and one folds. You walk up and the whole car looks stock... to me it's impressive. To newer builders/drivers it's kind of a mystery.

When you want to hide something you make something else easy to find. Watch this hand while the other smacked you in the face and you don't even see it
