running a 78 chevy 2wd long bed for a stock show this year. running stock motor and trans and rear end but the shaft has a carrier in the middle. in the past ive always been putting 2wd trannys in 4wd trucks so i had to make my own shaft anyway. just wondering if anyone has any experiance with this if i can get by with it for a one and done stock class or if i should take the time to get rid of it? thanks.

My promod F250 (however it's a 350/400 combo) is actually using the stock driveshaft from an 80s Chevy with the carrier bearing. I've had no problems with it even including the first show that I broke my motor mounts and the motor was sliding around.

We reinforce the bracket itself with a piece of 1" flat stock. Have only had one fail, and that's because the bracket itself ripped apart.
