First off who cares about a $75 entry fee? Whether I paid it Bob paid it or Fred flinstone paid it. Nobody paid for my $2000 car or my $15000 parts that were in it? My car held up in front because it was clean and I drove it to try and save front. My point was you have to clarify these rules for the future I love old iron derbies be nice if you could keep this one alive first step would be to have a set of rules and stick to them and according to rules gray areas are either cut or loaded stick to that rule if u want to keep cars coming imo. YES you should have removed bumper even if it was seconds after u counted me out there is no way to remedy it now what's done is done although should have never happened. 5th out of 22 doesn't make me happy I would have loved to wreck my car all the way and either place higher or get my a$$ handed to me but not the case. As I said no remedy for it so vent over good luck next year you intrigue me...

Take a moment and think about everyone else's perspective for a second, you may start to understand things differently. If you don't like Al take out a loan, free up some time, build a car, follow your advice, and then try to take him out. Boscobel was a high caliber derby. Many awesome drivers, rust free cars built to their full extent, and then the imperial factor made for an awesome show. After watching it on YouTube I don't think you'll find many better shows in our area. Being on the track was a challenge too, any mistake made there was someone out there to make you pay for it. Depending on the rule changes for next year I may be back. If I am I just will have to make sure I plan enough time to build a car all the way to the full extent of rules next year. My under built knife wasn't quite sharp enough for the gunfight haha. One thing I liked was it didn't end up being a team derby. A guy could come with one or two buddies, or make some at the track and do well yet. It was a great time after the demo too. It was nice getting together with all of the drivers, fans, and crew after. As another driver who competed in the show put it, "If we can't get together and drink a beer together after beating the hell out of each other on the track after hundreds of hours of work, and thousands of dollars into these cars what are we doing it for?" But congrats to all the drivers in every class, I was told it was a good show to watch from the stands! Bobby Uttecht 77jr

Alot of nice cars in full-size heat everything pretty much made junk. A few thoughts from me first of all need to be a little more clear on rules for example bumper mounting brackets having to be in stock location and no moving them back and when texting about the rule only answer being stock mounting position. Four hour drive there to be told you "meant" stock position but can move it forward or back or wrap frame with it. Most derbies tell you how far from core support hole. I built 100% to rules so I wouldn't be loaded after four hour drive and ended up being underbuilt. This is what's ruining derbies let's just build our cars how we want and let the inspectors tell us how to fix it there? Why even have rules if you don't know how to make sure they are explained properly when asked? Also should give 1 minute before calling cars out 20 seconds just isn't right I saw some awfully fast counts I get that you want it fast paced but give the drivers a chance to wreck their car not there night. Now on to my real problem with the derby our heat was stopped a number of times for debris and bumpers on track yet I end up stuck on a bumper and damn near wreck my trans trying to get off it and you tell me your reason for not removing that bumper from track is the fact that I hit the guy and his bumper fell off blah blah blah either you remove bumpers that come off cars or you don't. If it was the drivers own bumper I could possibly understand but not the way that happened. I hope you try and fix things for years to come some of the best drivers and cars around showed up this year as much as I like running against the best drivers around who know how to build there cars this derby left such a bad taste in my mouth I will never be back as a driver or a spectator. Never been screwed like that before. Good luck with the derby. ALLEN HASSE 440 I’m not here to start an argument but I have to stick up for Jeremy on the bumper rule. At first I read it the way you did also but then found a rule that said you could hard nose and butt shock/bracket up to bumper. Didn’t help me anyways cause an imp nosed my Car 45 seconds into it. And my back bumper was still attached when you hit me and got hung up. Not really the same thing as a bumper falling off in middle of track. If you could have drove off it then the bumper would have been picked up. I was dragging it around for 10 minutes not really sure why you kept driving up onto it. Driver error. That’s on you not Jeremy. Just my opinion.
