My favorite part is after the guy breaks his stick he undoes his seat belt and begins texting. While on the track. As the derby continues. That's the cherry on the sundae.

I have always said that a minimum of a 2x2 cage should be mandatory in any car, Not because it is always necessary but just to protect the people who are so ignorant that they don't even know that they are idiots.

The promoter and the driver are both idiots. If the promoter doesn't allow/require cages, then all the drivers are idiots for supporting a promoter who doesn't care about the drivers. I understand that the chain and bang theory is to attract new drivers to the sport. But If you cant install a 2x2 cage in a compact or midsize car then you probably shouldn't be running. If my safety required attitude is contributing to killing the sport then I'm sorry. Trust me I completely understand the fun VS risk factor. I just ran a V6 Kia Optima in a bone stock 6 cylinder derby. I got the preran car given to me at the derby. I ended up getting second in the feature with the car. It was allot of fun. However the car should have never been allowed on the track. There was not a single weld, chain, or a cage in the car. JM Productions passed the car through safety inspection as soon as I payed my entry fee.

"Just one more hit!"....those could have been fatal last words. Chances are good you aren't giving them a show in a beat up compact car. For the safety of himself and the other 2 drivers he should've broken off...or not shown up lol

But what about that tool box disguised as a battery box? Come on guys, that's pure geniusness. I think that's a marine style battery box, tied down with a single ratchet strap. But, yeah... same difference. He's lucky to not have eaten it.

Can you imagine what kind of evidence this video would provide even a decent atty if this guy got killed? Track workers need to work not balance life or death vs "one more hit".
An appetite for destruction is more than an awesome album.

That smoking thing next to me?, that's just my battery we're good! That flapping guillotine held with a couple self tappers is my gas tank cover- no problem there. Doors should always be chained around the highest weakest part of the door-it takes too long to knock a hole in the middle of them. Any type of seat support is also unnessary. That car looks like some of the cars promoters by me let run.

Looks like a Just Money Productions car. Probably has a screw in the gas tank too. You know, for safety.
Its OK though as long as you can get that car off the track in time so we can have our joke monster truck show!
