The Chase for the Ultimate Icons 2017, okay I couldn't make 50 happen so lets try $10k!

Derby Icons is putting up the $10,000.00 and each Icon entered with pay $100 extra on any entry($100 covers all 2017) to become part of the points.

Points will be awarded on the following system:

You must run three events, you can choose a southern show, either Bluegrass Bash or Razorback Rumble and then you must run both Spring Explosion and Metal Mayhem. All shows will be equal points and the series will end at Metal Mayhem. Again just 3 shows count, you may run both RR and BB and pick your best. Tie breaker will be total points, quality of wins(number of cars in class), performance and overall showmanship.

Running an event - 50 points
Making the feature - 20 points
Placing:

1st - 100 points
2nd - 80 points
3rd - 60 points
4th - 40 points
5th - 20 points

Only Metal Mayhem will give award points thru 10th - 20 points each.
I will be also rewarding performance and best of show points.

Future Icons will also have separate points, rewards based on number of FI entries.

Thursday afternoon
Camping opens First come first serve. $100 for all Thursday thru Sunday. Tents are $15 per night, no electric.
We will offer early inspection on Thursday, avoid the rush.

Friday, Inspection opens at 8am, all cars must be in line by Noon, we will have separate lines for each class. Only Icon and SS(Fri) will be inspected.
Heat draws at 5pm, show starts at 6pm
Grudge matches both SS and Icon

Sat Inspection opens at 8am, all cars must be in line by 11am.
Heat draws at 1pm, show starts at 2pm

I know it's early but will MM have a powder puff? I saw powder puff listed last year but I don't know if it got ran.

couple questions?

1. Are you putting limits on entries in any of these show/classes.

2. If so does that mean that people that paid the 500$ have first dibs on getting into the class they desire and the people/Team that didn't are SOL...

I am definitely going to have enough classes at every show to accommodate all points drivers. With that said you will need to pre-register to get your spots. Don't expect me to hold a spot for you and try to register at the gate, need to have my shows set in stone early to plan show schedule.
You won't get pinched out of this race.

Rules are posted, little or no changes for 16, only things we are considering is hardnose in SS, and allowing some welding to mount trans crossmember/angle iron in both BS and SS.

No I will not be doing a powder puff again, had 4 drop out and the 2 remaining ran with the men and were paid $500 each just to hit the track.

Just throwing this out there in case someone is on the fence about doing this points race. Half entry fee to every show after signing up could pretty much guarantee getting nearly all your 500 back in savings... I think that's a great idea.

Okay drivers complained $500 was too much so we will do $100 enter points and I will put up $10,000. We will put every dollar entered into the 2nd down.
