I agree with 93, keep the rules the same just open the class to any year. I think you would have a much bigger turn out if you did that. Also maybe even have a Pro stock class at Butler. Be able to build a decent car that wont cost a lot. In my opinion, I think it would be a good turn out specially with how many stock guys show up.

i dont see anyway to have both classes. county fairs are a dying breed and are only going to get so many cars. So dividing them up in multiple half full classes helps no one. I will try to run either way but i have to have my cars built before march after that i work 80 hrs a week. SO whatever you decide let us know so we can get started on cars. With that said i would still say let the old styles run either way. The big problem with this show is the PAYOUT. A show that draws 50+ cars continuously (just in the windshield class) can afford a little better payout. Especially while continuously selling out the stands.. The fairboard makes a killing off the derby. Want good modified turnout? Up the pay like most of the counties around is.

The payout last year was $1000 with 5-8 cars. We had it posted to pay $1500 for 10-14 cars $2000 for 15-19 cars and $2500 for 20+ cars. I am all about this heat being a success, but I don't expect anyone to up the $$$ for a heat that hasn't brought the cars. Also just cause I seen it on here, it doesn't matter what rules or cars we allow this year there isn't going to be any body seam welding. FYI

We have been working to get some questions answered and details worked out but still have failed to do so. Since it has taken us to the end of February now, we are gonna post the rules for this year and what info we have for now. We will be running a RWD & FWD Stock heat. We did make a couple minor rule changes to the Stock class. (Windshield & Fuel Tanks)
Due to the lack of interest the last couple years we will only be running Modifieds one night. This heat is now open to any year car NO IMPERIALS.
Compacts- same rules
Compact trucks- same rules (crew cab compact trucks may run)
