Read through the ford tricks pages and nothing really in there for the new style fords like this.....I have a chance to pick one up reasonably priced and didn't know if its worth it or not...stock ford drivetrain is junk so it'll be gm powered for sure...just wanted to hear from yall what ya think?

Sheetmetal is pretty soft IMO.. I've had a few of them and they weren't shy about getting dents or rust but I never derbied one. Sheared off an 8" pine tree at 40 mph once during an ice storm with one and drove it home, then hit 2 deer with the same truck and it suffered zero frame damage or even rad/coolers.... I'm pretty impressed with the frame horns to say the least

I know this thread is 2 and a half years old but how did it hold up? what kind of bumper did you throw on? I just picked up a 01 for a price i couldn't pass up, the box is about rusted off from it but front end looks solid
