So my plan is to put the front and rear up on jack stand so the tires don't sit on the ground all year. Put antifreeze in the motor. Pull battery and fuel cell any other ideas?

If you are going to store it outside, I would put a tarp over it to keep moisture out.

Put a bag around every port and wrap them in duct tape to keep critters out. I usually tarp my engine and tarp the entire car. Pull fuel cell, good antifreeze in engine, pull battery, and I usually pull wheels off and set the.car down on blocks, but using jackstands would work just.fine.

I always pull the carb, spray it with WD40, wrap it in plastic, and put it on the shelf inside the garage. Then I pour transmission fluid into each spark plug hole, in the intake, and some down the headers. Then I put a plate over the carb hole. Fill with antifreeze. Then shrink wrap with plastic and sit it out in the weather for who knows how long.

All good ideas! I'll add one more. If you leave the carb on cover it with plastic wrap. Even if you leave the air cleaner on, wrap both. I had mud wasp build a "nice" nest right in the middle of my carb, even with the air cleaner on. I used metal screen from a house vent, to cover all the holes. Still lets air flow, but keeps wasps and other buggies out.

I usually never pull the fuel cell. I fill it full of fuel and add Sta-bil and have never had an issue in the spring. Tarping the whole car is definitely a good thing to do.

Lol...hahaha. we have blockheaters. but a good battery and knowing how to start your truck when cold helps. Fired up my 81 toyota 4x4 one year ..minus 45c no blockheater(not plugged in)... spit the front seal out of the oil pump. went thru a gallon of oil that week before i had a chance to fix it..oiled everything under the hood....

Hey guys just a little tip here about the stabil I work at a parts store and we had a growing number of complaints about the red stabil when used on car berated engines if the conditions are right it will react with the live enzymes in the ethanol fuel and cause a almost what looks like black mold to grow on the inside of fuel lines and in the carb the local prison had to have all there. Lawn mowers and stuff gone through they make a green stabil now that is supposed to be ethanol safe but I always recommended the Lucas stuff to my customers now

Seafoam gas treatment works great for winterizing derby cars and lawn mowers.
