To truly appreciate an imperial it has to have a chevy v-8 in it. You sir are strongly incorrect, a big block mopar would be more adequate. I think even a honda CR125 dirt bike engine would be a power house compared to a 350 chevy wouldn't it?

Wow!! Sorry for the sacreligious suggestion Mopar guys, we'll just leave the chevy engines in the cars that win the big shows!

Has anyone got under the hood photos of both engines in imperials, interesting to see how much room is in the engine bay with them in?

Page 1 of the imperial pics thread is a good pic. Both small block mopar and chevy engines fit with plenty of room to spare.

One, possibly another, of the cars is running at an event this evening (originally the black car) being driven by 341 Andrew Jones who ran his own imp a few weeks ago

You mean like the shows that cater to tilted fords with a chevy engine that takes 5gs to make the same power a big block mopar does stock? Yep might as well leave them there.

Wish you guys could do bumper swaps.... But just watch, soon they'll be banned over there like they are over here!

Wish you guys could do bumper swaps.... But just watch, soon they'll be banned over there like they are over here! Thus far 4/5 tracks already have banned them from being used, although the rule is not directly aimed at imperials but for all luxury vehicles fitted with a truck style chassis. This would also outlaw the large Russian Zil cars which i'd imagine would exceed the strength of an imperial en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZiL

I know where you can find several Imperials. They're in Arkansas. 1964-1970.
