Guys I personally have seen a 1975 Cadillac Clamshell wagon no conversion no fiberglass pieces all steel all original. There is a dealership in Marysville Ohio that sells collector cars and someone traded it in to them. The back window and tail gate were hand crank it was sweet. Tim Clark that owns Smash-It has actually seen one some years ago in Upper Arlington Ohio he has pictures of it. They are real and they are on a 71-76 GM wagon frame. I'm guessing other than the dog house if stripped out to derby most people couldn't tell the difference. And it had leafs? ? No coils??? Not saying it didn't happen, but pics would be nice.... Very, Very hard to believe....

This should clear up any questions about the true "Roundback" or "Clamshell" versions. The only reason I even bothered to look it up was I recall seeing a clam version at a car show / swap meet well over a decade ago (most likely Carlisle P.A.) And as it says in the article and Stromi stated above; it was a custom conversion just like all the B.O.P. hearses, ambulances and the six wheel 225 Electras. bringatrailer.com/2012/09/22/1974-cadillac-station-wagon/On a side note: that dark brown one on the car hauler is called a "Castilian Wagon". Seems to be a little more common than the clam style, but less than fifty is still pretty damned rare in car circles.
