Cadillac didn't. Conversion companies made them.

Probably mostly fiberglass,or spot-welded panels,that'll explode,from the conversion company

Its supposed to be in pretty good shape so if anything it would make a cool cruiser I guess.

Only 50 or so were ever made. Pretty sought after vehicles. They cost like $25, 000 back then to be bought. Hell even sammy davis jr. had one. Rare car

There's one on the list and in the warehouse in the original Gone in 60 Seconds.

many more than just 50 were built some were made with actual clamshell wagon pieces and some were made from the 70 and earlier wagon body pieces. very prone to rust and although weird, not very desirable . an acquired taste for sure

Maybe what I read was a particular year. But I am betting many collectors and probably 95% of the members on here wouldn't mind owning one. Make a heck of a cruiser that seats 9

Cadillac never made a wagon back then. They are all aftermarket conversions. If Cadillac did make a wagon from 68-76 they would be outlawed at most derbys just like imperials. Those Caddillac wagon conversions were available in 80s models too.

Guys I personally have seen a 1975 Cadillac Clamshell wagon no conversion no fiberglass pieces all steel all original. There is a dealership in Marysville Ohio that sells collector cars and someone traded it in to them. The back window and tail gate were hand crank it was sweet. Tim Clark that owns Smash-It has actually seen one some years ago in Upper Arlington Ohio he has pictures of it. They are real and they are on a 71-76 GM wagon frame. I'm guessing other than the dog house if stripped out to derby most people couldn't tell the difference.
