I have a 302 out of a 81 Lincoln and wanted to know parts needed. Also a video showing how to do it would be nice.

An 81 is a throttle body fuel injection. A 2 bl carb will bolt right up. The bad thing is with the 81 Ford decided to use computers and not the duraspark ignition. For that you have to change the distributor also.

up to 84-very early 85 they used a tbi setup which a holley 2 barrel will bolt right up to, like stated before your going to have to change to dizzy either go points or a chevy hei style, which is what i prefer but thats jmo. If you have a roller motor your going to have to switch to the tbi style intake then get a dizzy gear compatable with a roller cam. Me and my buddy have 5 motors done like this with a chevy hei style dizzy and a holley 2 barrel with no issues at all.

You do not need an ignition system or new distributor for this set up as the throttle body distributor has an ignition system on it. Friend of mine wired mine as a four cylinder mustang diagram without duraspark box and ran excellent! I can probably get the diagram if needed.... The coil gets wired into distributor.

Duraspark ignition systems were somewhat popular to run on Ford motors a few years ago. Not as easy to wire as an HEI but they didn't seem to work poorly or have durability issues. I would save the money and run the stock ignition and switch the injection to a carburetor.

Are the 81's the ones with the variable venturi carbs? The one my cousin ran with that carb ran better than any other 302 I have seen. Can't remember if it was an 80 or an 81.
