So basically just get the resistor and go ahead and punch the ignition? I'm ok with that just didn't want to jump the gun and make a bad situation worse.lol

How do you bypass it in a 2000 grand prix with a 3800? It has the pk3 key.

Okay so has anyone bypassed the passlock system in a cavalier? I have a 98 that the instrument cluster was gone when I got it so I followed the link that was posted a while back about how to bypass but I can't quite get it to work still. So if you done it successfully I'd like to know some details about this.

So for us dummies out here what electrical components are needed? Key & switch, instrument cluster, fuse boxes obviously and any other modules or components?

Would anyone be interested in buying these? All you need is three wires and no more VATS issues from 3100 W bodies. These will work on ANY 3100, not just the one the key came from. If there are several people interested in them, I will plastidip them instead of wrap them in tape. I TEST every one I put together with a scope to make sure it is giving the correct signal. I can also do these for you if you send me the box with the key for the car the box came out of.

Possibly. Be more interested in a bypass for the newer Cavalier type passlock with the normal key, so that 2.2 can be transferred to different cars.

C4 its a bit of a money investment but my buddies race them and aslong as they can get the car running they use a laptop program and disable it completely. Then you can mess with air/ fuel parameters too

Want to run that m/t in a couple of older box Cavi's and Corsica's.
