a cradle is the easist way to do it, but you can also use the flat plate from the mopar mount. It mounts to the block and then weld chevy cups on it. works well I used those before I had a cradle.

for putting a mopar in a gm . use a truck oil pan with with 4x4 dodge truck motor mounts and weld them on k member. and cut most the fire wall out May be putting a 318 in a 75 cadillac coupe deville, is this the same method i should use, gm is a little vague, and i know with a 350 you gotta put plates running back to set the motor mounts on are mopars the same also i might get ahold of a bbm would same still apply

That's a good question. I'm looking at putting a 400/727 BBM in the place of the 425 in my 79 caddy not aloud to cut the firewall in any circumstance. The officials are very anal about that

The officials are very anal about that a 79 caddy is a whole diff animal then the 71-76 lacs they are talking about extending the pads on. The 79 is basically a metric caprice frame...

Short thread, still didn't see much on Mopar big blocks. Metric caprice and looking at using my 400 out of my Plymouth in it. Could I get away with flipping small block Chevy block side mounts, welding to the frame and using the stock Mopar mounts?

I asked this in the 75 caddy thread but this might be the better place. As many others have asked, I too am wondering about putting a bbm into a cady with or without a cradle
