ok so im looking at either going the lazy way and putting a 350/350th in my pontiac, or putting a 318/727(?) in there. i LOVE my MoPars and have always been told that the 350 is the best, unless someone brings a SBM... any and all tips will help.

302/351w with van pan and c6. Use basterd joint with ford yoke and gm shaft. Slide motor back till yoke slides in to where u want it. For mounts use Vic upper and a aftermarket Chevy solid mount lowers and weld to frame.

Dropping a ford or a mopar into a gm is like slapping god in the face and then pissing on his sandals! Somethings you just dont do.

is there the problem of busting the ears on a 318 like they have when dropping them into a Fraud? i CANNOT put in an engine cradle so that is out the door, one show lets me use a DP, but the others do not.

I noticed in the 75-76 cadillac build tips thread, they have to weld plates in order to use a 350. In the future, should i get my claws on a cad, would i have to do the same? has anyone done this before? i know my dad loves them and just runs the 472 or 500 that comes in them, but i have faith ( and Holley, Mopar Performance, and Lunati parts) in my little 318/727.

What about putting a caddy 472 into a bop car? Any big issues I'm gonna run into? I've had this motor for awhile and I'm dying to try it in something. I'm figuring since the dist is up from I can cram the back of the motor right into the firewall if I have to. Almost like a kicker.

use the block mounst from the 425 caddy motor and use regular chevy lowers but you will need to strengthen the caddy mounts it will also set the motor back when you do this
