Has anyone ever build one of these 84 Chrysler 5th ave into a full weld / semi weld type of class. Like has anyone sat down and took the time and build it say like people are building Vic’s and stuff if so how did it do and if you had pics or anything that be great. I’ve built a lot of car old and new Gm and Fords but I got a very nice and clean 5th ave and was curious about how it would do in a full weld / semi weld type of class. I mean I know I can build a different car but around here u don’t see any Chrysler cars run and it’s been that way here for 30 plus years. So I thought I’d be different. Yes I have read the pages on building them.

Yes his name was hemi motorsports. Had badass builds. Look through the thread for these he did comment on them. We talked through PMs and he said the seam welds at firewall are a must if you want to really compete. Keep the leaf pack under it straight and under the frame is key since thats how I'd go to put one out and not mess with the front at all. The leaf pack is under the frame in these. All is going to depend what your rules allow you to do tho. we-crash.proboards.com/thread/14201

Like said focus your efforts at the firewall. One look and you will see why and you will also see how to "fix" the issue but yes absolutely seam weld both sides of pinch frame and grind smooth then weld more and grind smooth pull body isolators and mount k frame solid with larger bolts and washers especially if you can go through the frame with a washer plate on bottom and Top of frame then underside of.hood and up thru the hood. Helps especially with a hoood that is welded solid front to back to your fenders with the whole middle cut out so you have full access. Again GOOD SOLID LEAF PACK, dont squat to low as your limited on front height and frame angles up front si be cautious of that while setting rear ride height. Hump chains, hump plates whatever you can do, do the humps will give they dont take much either so chain and plate if you can if not, then adjust ride height so they are clearing your rear bumper slightly to help avoid tee-peeing the humps. They really are fun cars to drive just small

Don't run a rear bumper... Im not against no rear bumper, but i generally always run one. I like to do my best to keep things as square and uniform as possible as it starts to bend. For my mopars and caddys alike 92-2002 crown vic rear bumpers work flawless for me on the back of mine for the purpose

I do nothing to the rear bumper I don’t care if it falls off. I like it better if they do
