Where is everyone sharing TIPS/Tricks if not on this website?

Most everything now is common knowledge for the big builders and top groups no one needs to really share anything this forum is really only for beginners trying to get started and or if they actually read they can take the next step further. But i get PM regularly asking the secrets froms screen names i dont recognize i share everything i dont have anything to hide

Good question. Sadly, this sight kinda "died." I made a post similar to this probably 3-4 years ago and people jumped on me saying if I didn't like it, don't come here then. Ironically, I'd been on here longer than most of them put together. I know you've been here a long time too. I think a lot of the long time guys still get on, but never post. I saw it begin to go down hill when a flood of new members started logging on and asked the same questions over and over obviously without doing any research of their own because it was pretty basic stuff that had been covered like a dead body. Then, when they didn't hear the answer they wanted to hear, they got smart. That's when the veterans clammed up I think.

There are a lot of Fakebook pages for derby now too, and I can only imagine the younger guys are using that because there's more people on that platform, thus quicker responses, and pictures are so much easier..... Remember, it was ALL about pictures.... "How do you do this? Don't explain it in words, I need a picture!" No imagination. No willingness to just look at what you're working on and figure it out...

There is still a few of us keeping it alive! I have been on this site for 15 years it feels like, started literally when I was in elementary school.

It’s not just here. Message boards in general have died unfortunately.

I actually prefer this format because it’s much much MUCH more organized.

But like previously stated, there’s no new tips or tricks except for how people are cheating and stretching rules and they’re not gonna share that.

I’ve been here since the original 17 Strong site. Lots of good times and met some decent people. But my number one boredom killer has definitely taken a huge hit to almost non existent

i just use this website as its ment to be. a WELL ORGANIZED derby related dictionary/thesaurs, with some good kind managers, and helpers, and an occasional good laugh

I don't think they do get shared anymore, at least not in a way you can easily find again unless you saw the post when it happened. I know a lot of information travels back and forth on Snapchat though, just need tons of derby "friends" on the app.
