What are of the worst ways your cars, engines, etc have been vandalized or sabotaged?
I’ve had fuel lines cut, ignition wires pulled, even had keys taken out of the column in my street stock vics.

Oh man i have stories going back 20yrs to current. Stolen set ups, stolen parts. Gas tanks full of sand and soap. Fuel lines sliced, oil drained, washers down the headers after tech while in the pits I've dealt with alot of jealous people over the years.

I usually never leave my car or if I do my buddy is with his and my car and we switch off. He had dirt put in his tank b4 so ever since then I have put a chain and lock on the cap. But yea there is thousand ways to Sabotoge a car. I always keep keys in my pocket also.

I’ve had plug wires cut . I’ve also had my hold down straps cut on my trailer which bothered me more than messing with the car itself .

Never happened to me but have buddies that have found Nuts and bolts in their exhaust valves and all kinds of things poured into gas tanks. Complete Bull Shit...

plug wires pulled, ran just good enough to still take 1st. The wires must have been hard to take off as they were duct taped and glued - poor guy.

Seen loosened luGs,water poured in carb while in “impound”,fuel line cutting seems to be the most common,as if someone can’t smell that strong as shyt from a mile away

Sabotage isn’t necessarily a fear of mine but it is something I keep in the back of my mind. We lock header caps and fuel cells, can’t control people but you can do a little preventive, I don’t have the money for someone to ruin my engine for me.

Tail housing bolts loosened, gas tank, carb, spun distributor, shit down carb, shit in gas tank, wiring cut. Way to common.
Have a pretty strict rule now that people in our group sit by vehicles whole event, and I have changed the way I do things to make up for it. Pretty much eliminated rubber fuel lines, marking gas caps (locking ones are sweet too), all that stuff.
Big shows with an impound is almost a turn away at this point because I don't trust that they are actually watching or doing a good enough job to keep it secure.

Wow, I can say I've never heard of anyone's car messed with a any of the derbies I run. I'm definitely not the most popular driver with some of the competition, but never had a problem. You gotta be a special kind of scumbag to screw with somebody's car.

I wondered if someone might’ve pulled my water pump pulley bolts out, because after the show i noticed there wasn't a single one in. Pulley stayed on somehow lmao. I probably just forgot to tighten em but i’ll never know.

I think a lot of it is just getting in a hurry or just to much beer I can’t see that many dirt bags going to that much trouble. Or I just don’t go pissing everyone off. 🤷♂️

In the old days we had people steal the keys from columns, loosen up the fuel line on the tank or even take the shift lever off the column if it had it in the stock location. Total bullshit how some people are!
