Car wants to stall after making a hit. 318 with holley 4412 carb. I lowered the float some before last run. Stalled some but not as much. Lower it more ya think or other area I should look at?

Drive through the hit and dont let off right before you hit idle it up some and keep your foot in er

My 318 use to do the same thing just need to raise idle up a little and you should be fine

Extend the vent tubes, up your idle, and check your float height

Helps with idle gives it just a little more air. It helps the idle not drop to low and die when you rev it up and let up fast

SO let me ask this I have a 355 that has a cam that is a little too much and has a tendency to wanna die at a lower idle and in order to get rid of that issue I need to idle it up to 1400 with the idle screw I contemplated putting a manual secondary four barrel on it instead of a 2g rochester any advice would be helpfull other than putting a different cam or running a manual or running a stall converter would be greatly appreciated
