I think they was all channel on the rear mine were all c channel. But they will hold their own. I don’t remember but I think mine had like 11 or so runs. Friend of mine has it an still runs every once in a while 4-6 not channel

If it were me I would dimple the top of the frame in front of the rear bumper brackets. Trim the ends off the bumper. Tuck the trunk at the dimple and put all thread through trunk lid and through the frame right before where I dimpled it. Are you allowed to weld your front bumper on? If so I would shorten the nose up some and hard nose your bumper. Pull your frame rails together a little before welding your bumper on. if you can weld your shocks to the side of the frame rails to go back to your a arms. I did this on my wire class 73 monte carlo and it held up really well in the nose. I have only ran it once but with the flat bumper it has never moved yet.
