Will the steering line up well together ? Will I have to make any modifications? Has any one done something similar to this ?

I hear metric caddy front frame only like a 1/2" different width wise in the belly rails. But I'd run caprice on caprice frame over Malibu just the car I perfer.

Don't worry about floorboards except for driver floorboard isn't necessary. One of the hardest cars I've ever built has no floors in it.

If you're headers aren't cherry red by the end of the night then you didn't try/hit hard enough,

notch 15 inches in from rear of frame. use the up angle in the back as leverage don't notch by or on it. Makes them go down. Plate humps or beat them in. Tuck trunk about 30 percent down or take it off and flip it over and bolt it to the floor with body bolts. if pan is soft. These cars work good with that done. If it doesn't say it needs to be in stock position.

I ran a couple back when I basically was just chain n banging and of all the GMs I've ran it was almost as a forgiving of a trunk as 1-3 GM. I didn't do anything besides weld the trunk down and it bent right at the bottom of the humps. If I were to build another one I would do a simple tuck on the trunk lid and notch like mentioned above. I think the 74-7 Montes/Malibus are underrated for a great car to learn with.

If I find video I'll send you it
