I'm ripping out the old bench in my two car garage and building news ones. Anyone have any ideas or pictures of their setup? Let's see those benches.

Can't stress it enough, put a metal top on it!! If you really want to get fancy, have it be a bolt on metal top. Eventually it'll warp unless you use really thick, slag will build up on it, etc. But being able to replace the top and have a brand new table is awesome. You need to weld something and just clamping on to the table is awesome.

I prefer a sleep number for a work bench, top really takes a good hammering and holds up well

Did a 3x3 treated post shelf in the middle 24in deep 40 in to the top then capped with 10 gauge steel bent around the front and up the back 12 inches so nothing can get behind and welding/grinding won't hit the wall behind it or sills won't leak down the back....has enough weight to it that didn't have to connect to anything...
