What tires do you guys like to run on the back when the track is muddy? I run a mild built 350 4.56 gears and 27x8.5 skid steers on old iron now and just wondering if theres a better option?

I run v tread 700 15s 30 inches tall and my 25 inch tall 600 14s tractor treads. Best ones I found for my set up. I like to have different height tires to play with the gear ratio when muddy.

Usually they water the track the morning of the derby and it's some what dry after a couple heats well this time they watered it and had a good down pour hour before the derby. I just couldnt get much traction to make a decent hit and eventually got stuck in some ruts that I would normally be able to get out of.

What tires are you running? I've been looking for some 15" vtreads but can only find 7-14s or 7-16s

What tires are you running? I've been looking for some 15" vtreads but can only find 7-14s or 7-16s I'll have to look at the brand. I can't find them on ebay now. But they make a 7.00 15 skid style I just saw. These are v tread not a tractor tread. You can only get them at a 7.00 15 and 5.70 12. |

I ran a set of vtreds for the first time this year I normally run skid tires and I'd have to say I was impressed with how well they did. They're 700-14s if that helps

There used to be a few guys that ran them around me ill see where they get theirs from |

close. The ones i have have the staggered tread not full V. Seem to clean out better... |
