Which is stronger option? Dana 60 without bracing, or 9" w/ 2x4 bracing allowed. 9" will have stock 31 spline axles. Both will have 5ish gears.. Dana will have drum brakes, 9" has pinion brake if that makes a difference. No axle savers allowed. Rims are allowed only small centers and bead protectors. Dana will have 15" skidders and 9" will run 14" skidders. No protector type rules, can chain rearend, hump plates, etc.

You’d be fine to run 14’s on the Dana. Out of the 2 options I’d probably use the Dana since the 9in can’t have axle savers

60 based off no savers and shaft strength

D60 had much thicker and larger tubes that will help keep it from bending. Assuming you are referring to the full float D60, it will probably only have 30 spline shafts. But its not too hard of a job to put 35 spline shafts in from a D70 with a little junkyard hunting.
