Sure it’s on here somewhere but haven’t seen it. What’s best 80’s + car? Allowed to swap engines , bumpers. No cradles, hump plates, dist protectors. Stock body mounts. No leaf conversion. Can wire to frame 4 places inside car.

Been discussed hundreds of times. You will never get seen answer on this ive won with vics caddys and mopars. Personally i like all 3 for how i drive. Each one has its ups and downs for sure but it's all in how you drive and what your capabilities are

I have a bunch of vics so I’ll say that. Everyone and there dog makes parts for them. My brother and I ran 77-79 caddy’s like 18 years ago and those were stout before they were actually “built” like they are today

With the hump plates I’d lean caddy but the right year vic is obviously hard to beat

Also depends more on rules as well, if you can swap a-arms or not. Some 97 vics will have better bigger frame horns like a 98-02 without the watts link, but not the stamped a arms. If you cant swap then the bubble lincolns of the early 90s still have the stamped style with new body and I think in a stock build those bodys are more desireable (rear post helps humps).

I'd say best choice is a 89-91 HD Vic, but those aren't very easy to find nor very cheap.

I'm a gm guy when it comes to stocker build. The impala and caprice is what I've brough money home with but the bigger framed ones are stronger like caddy, olds 98 and electra. Then if you want boxed center section you get a wagon. It's all in what you know well to build and run smart.

A clean one with a good drive train.
Depends on what you have for parts and building ability
77-90's GM 80's mopar (st.regis,dippy,yorker) 79-97 ford lincoln merc 98-02 """ 03 ^ """
All can be good with the right combo...
