First Ford I have built. Running a pretty stock show with it. Do all of these Lincoln’s have aluminum hoods and trunk lids? If so, what do you usually swap them out with? Also, is it better to change out the a-arms for a different style? These look somewhat weak. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated!

Stock stuff i would not worry about the trunk lid. mid 70's impala hoods are close to fitting. Some 80's lincolns had steel hoods still not a perfect fit. Also i havent tried it but have heard that early 90's firebird hoods fit good. A-arms are your choice. They look weak but usually do ok. Depends on how you can tie suspension down or if you can't.

I used 80s Camaro hoods on my Lincoln's that has aluminium. Or like said 74 impala fits with some narrowing

Thank you. Any idea how hard it is to convert these over to the older style a arms? Just didn’t know how easily they go on. Also, where would you guys put two 4x4 plates on one of these when the car is fresh? Crush box?
