I’ve noticed a lot of people taking the front shocks out and putting in 1” all thread what’s the purpose of this? Just got a CLEAN 91 Vic and never built a ford before so been reading on some details

Keeps suspension solid incase a arm straps break. I do this on shows that dont allow a arms to be welded down as well.

Nut and washer both sides of everywhere it touches metal. Its simple i dont have any pictures but jack car up do what you need to do to a arms weather its shim them take shims out weld down change them whatever you personally do then remove shock and replace with rod. It will make sense once you start. You will have to have to nuts in the middle of the rod with washers on opposit ends of the nuts to starts and again once you start it will make sense as to why. Really very easy and effective. I have even used 3/4 b7 rod and held perfectly fine. Doesnt have to be 1"
