Dumb question but never had to think about buying them but what is the point of a watts link?

What do you mean?
Like why did they change from the traditional 4 link?

I'm gonna guess he's got his first 98+ and he is referring to the ZTR brackets. The ztr brackets replace the watts link. But i could be way off to. Or wrong. Wife always tells me i am lol

If you are talking about the conversion brackets, they allow you to move the upper and lower trailing arms to the traditional areas. The factory watts brackets and trailing arms on 98+ are on the outside of the frame which means there isn’t much space between the wheel and trailing arm. Also they are prone to shifting side to side. You can also use the conversion brackets to strengthen the package trey. To use the factory watts brackets you’ll have to make new trailing arm mounts on your rearend

Yes and sorry I didn’t have more information it is my first 98+ And didn’t know what the point of the watts link and conversions all were. I seen them for 98+. All the conversion kit is trailing arms and brackets to switch control arms to older style. So then you can mount a rear end same way as 97 and older ford/gm.
