I'm curious on what everybody's opinion would be on at 80s and newer wireclass what car would be the best car to use if you are just wanting to strip it maybe change a motor and run it what would you suggest I'm looking for a very very very light build because I've not done much building I have drove a lot so I'd like a strong car that I can try to win with and I am not up on what cars are best cars to have on a wire class

80s fomoco. But whatever you run, make sure it runs good. It seems in the stock/windshield class's that I've done or watched, half the cars barely make a hit and die due to running poorly, half dead battery bad connections ect.

Its hard to beat a box vic when it comes to building for a beginner. The rears are so much more predictable than the 80s GMs.

Ya best bet to me would be 80’s ford, no matter the amount of work you want to do, they will always compete build level wise.

You are gonna catch every different car combo in the book. Depending on exact rules people will say 88-91 hd vics, 79-81 r-body mopars, 77-79 caddys, metric gms, etc, etc. Just find something that runs good or make it run good if you have rules that will allow you to change drivetrains. Run a few times and get the hang of things and just have fun!!
