I'm sorry but i'd take a ford for any stock body mount, any drive train show. If i have to vote i'd take a parisienne wagon or chevy wagon or 77-78 buick limited or olds 98. Ya I just know I can build a stock gm a lot harder then a ford for the class building our way. If I could swap the 4 body mounts in z box I'd take ford. But they don't allow the ztr have to run factory set up under them or I was taking a 98 to 02.

So far, out of all the metrics I have ran, I have gotten the most consistent and appealing results out of Caprice`s. I will take them over any other metric, especially if I am running a knock down drag out type of show. There is something about those shorter wheel base cars compared to a longer wheel base metric that is appealing to me.
Recently a buddy has been running the Buick Roadmasters and loving them. I will be trying one of them in 2020 if all goes right.
Cadillacs are my least favorite, I just owned 4 of them at one time and sold all of them but the one two door I have, simply because it is a 2 door.
I just picked up a 93-96 Fleetwood. I have not decided if I am going to hold onto it or sell it.

Olds 98 and caprice\impalas is the one we got the same results out of back to back. Rears roll nice and fronts take a beating. But I like my wagons way more but I'd take a caprice/impala to just about any show for sure too.

bone stocks rules : we ran a 89 4 door cadi back in August that was very clean car. I was not impressed period with the car overall. was a 1 heat deal nose bent up, rearend was notched and it dropped .Granted it did win but bent very badly.rear humps I never seen bend in so many places like it did.

They are usually a one decent run kind of car, so I am not surprised that it was junk after a one heat deal. The biggest thing I disliked about that car was the fact that the body didn’t have any kind of shaping or persuasion. These cars need some massaging on the rear fenders to make them do what you want them to do. The sheet metal is what makes them go down. That’s a big reason behind why Caprice’s tend to go up easier. The fenders are shorter and less boxed. The Cadillac’s are tall and boxed.

From what we have built, which have either been fords, metric 2 door caprice, 77-79 caddy, mid 80s olds 88, and 85 parisienne. I'd personally take the ford as well. But if youre set on building gm I would say the caddy or parisienne. They both held up the best from the gms we have put together.

car185 did you get into the team show? I got wait listed because I was at work. Hoping some teams drop out so I can run. But there'sstill two other derbys the same day. One being the other team show that isn't full.

I only paid $150 for the car and made 15 times that with the win by a good friend .then I ran it a few weeks later and broke rearend. after win/first run share picturewas my turn next .lol facebook com upload photosmay pull nose down for 3rd run but we'll deal with that one come spring.

I'd pull it down for sure and go again. Just need chain or wire from c pillar to keep it from spreading fast. We had had them spread to where back window is about 3 inchs tall.
