Watch what cars win the bigger shows(especially blizzard bash) an people go nuts for them an pay the high prices. Agree and not only that show but really anywhere now. Look at caddy's they were nothing now they are the car to take to some of these bigger shows...HD vics and 98-02s and certain year old iron and certain year clips and front frame sections and blah blah blah. Not saying there isn't better styles of cars but a lot of people are not sure why they are buying them but hey someone said they are the shit so i need one...is all... On the 97 lincoln question. The rear body has become the choice for some of these heavy body forming/welding shows. The front frames are a little different in design and the spring pockets are better in the 97 era cars and still have the rear 4 link like stated. Tunnels also have a extra layer of steel on them for the tight drivetrain. a lot of the "special" features on cars nowadays has to do with the style of build. No one ever worried about spring pockets collapsing before the builds we have now...at least i didn't...

cheezwhiz31 is 100% correct, in the derby world there is a lot of copy cat situations, everyone wants 73-4 caddies, 09-11 vics etc. but you also have to know how to build the “in” cars. Right now the biggest trend ive seen is people use solids on the front, on caddies specifically people are using +2’s, getting creative with balljoint mounting, and getting a decent amount of camber. Anyone who has caddy lower a arms bring them to bash, everyone will be needing them. Certain years/models of cars have special and unique things about them, it’s all in what you can do to utilize what you have. Figure out what works best for you. That being said, I’m looking for an 09-11 lincoln town car preferably built in Canada

Perfect thanks first ford Leaf converting will save you time on changing out the watts link if you don’t have the parts to swap to let’s say gm 10-bolt. Only difference is you will have to make a front leaf mount where control arm would go on a gm or 97 older ford.
