Looking to see what car will be the best to run for the Brandon dixon metric rules. Also the pros and cons of each would be great

how are the 65 and 76 able to run in metric? can you swap the steering or have to run the rack and pinion on the 08?

If the malibu is considered a metric car then i'd take that. Otherwise i'd say none of the above and sell some/one and get a 98-02 Vic or gm old iron for that class if it is open to any year...

Which platform do you have the most experience with, if you have no experience with the 3, then the Malibu is my pick,

I just read his rules as I was looking for a out of state show to run with my tbird(65) and I would not build a 64-66 tbird with his rules. I'd say your best bet would be the 08.

Curious, why not run the 03? for those rules specifically they are a decent choice but unless u stretch the bumper shock the rear crush point is still open and is prone to giving. Couple of my friends took second in the team show and both were running 98-02’s

I don't know the rules but with the frame trimmed to the body mount (usually allowed) most brackets/shocks will pass the crush zone, ten inches cover it. But unless he is set to run 03 it can cost a decent amount, it's taken me a couple years to get everything squared away to run my first 03 next year

I think the 03’ would have god awful results with the stock rack and pinion steering. Unless altered.
