KICKABUDA PROMOTIONS PUMPKIN SMASH 2019 DEMOLITION DERBY RULES 2019 MODIFIED COMPACT DEMOLITION DERBY RULES
COMPACT WHEELBASE UP TO 112-” *A LATE FEE OF $100.00 WILL BE CHARGED TWO HOURS PRIOR TO ADVERTISED START TIME* The Compact Demolition Derby shall be open to people with a valid driver’s license or picture i.d. and 18 years of age. If 16 or 17 years of age you must have notarized consent from both parents/guardian’s present. All drivers will adhere to all rules and regulations. Towing and transporting of demolition derby cars to and from other demo locations must meet highway safety codes. Kickabuda Promotions will not be held liable. 1. Driver’s Entry: Driver’s must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Drivers must furnish his/her own car. Driver and pit persons must sign waiver release of liability prior to entering the pit area or track. DRIVERS AND PIT PERSONS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE DRIVER’S MEETING! 2. Entry Fees: Entries will be accepted up to one (2) hourS prior to the advertised start of the race then a late fee of 100.00 will be charged. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF SIXTEEN (16) WILL BE PERMITTED ENTRY INTO THE PITS OR ON THE TRACK! Entries will be accepted up to one (2) hourS prior to the start of the race. 3. Compact cars shall not exceed 112-” wheelbase measured between center of wheel and center of wheel. You may not shorten wheelbase to achieve this. NO CONVERTIBLES, NO 4-WHEEL DRIVES! Cars shall not have engines bigger than 4 or 6 cylinders. 4. Drivers have one (1) minute to hit another active car and not hitting opponents in the driver’s door. No sandbagging. No team driving. 5. Slogans or advertising may be put anywhere except front doors and roof. Put number on front doors and put name above on roof. Also, put a minimum 12” x 18” sign with your number on top of car. (MANDATORY). NO PROFANITY! The sign on top of car will be enforced. 6. The following must be removed before entering the pit area – all glass, chrome, pot metal, fiber glass, carpet, head liner, back seat, and anything that is flammable except the drivers seat. 7. Safety belt and DOT approved helmets are required. All helmets must be securely fastened. You are required to wear long pants and shirt. It is recommended that you wear a long-sleeve shirt or fire suit. It is also recommended that you have an emergency kill switch painted red and located on the passenger side in dash area. 8. If anything is changed on your car after inspection to make your car illegal, you will be automatically disqualified and will not receive a refund of entry. 9. No pit person is allowed in the track area. 10. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification. MANAGEMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY A CAR/DRIVER AT ANY TIME! Any person in pit or track area causing trouble and not obeying the rules will be asked to leave the area immediately. (We can and will have police escort you out and/or have you arrested.) You may also be banned from running in any future Kickabuda Promotions events. The officials have the right to re-inspect a car at any time including after the race. If anything is found to be illegal, you will forfeit all prizes which will then go to the next person in line. Any protest by a driver on another car must be made within 5 minutes after that cars final heat (including the feature) along with a $200.00 fee. If any mechanical work needs to be done to prove your complaint, you will complete such work and put the car back the way it was. If the complaint is proven, you will receive all your money back. If it is not proven, you will receive none of your money back. 11. Contestants of the Kickabuda Promotions demolition derby are not employees of said demolition derby. Driver and their pit personnel are responsible for any damage caused by their negligence on the track or in the pit area. No packaged alcoholic beverages or drugs will be allowed in the Pit Area or Track. Any violations will result in immediate disqualification. Any driver or pit crew member exhibiting signs of impairment or the smell of alcoholic beverage shall be disqualified. Kickabuda Promotions is not responsible for any injuries to drivers and/or pit crew and all people in Pit Area. Kickabuda Promotions is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Kickabuda Promotions reserves the right to make changes as necessary. These rules supersede any and all rules previously used. 12. BUMPERS: Any stock bumpers allowed ( may be loaded welded / plated must remain in stock form ) homemade bumpers allowed max 6”x6”x1/2” tubing if pointed 4” max over 32”. Hard nose to the front frame with strap 15”x3”x1/4” max from bumper back or weld to factory shocks and shocks cannot be relocated. May shorten front frame to front side of body mount must be able to run 1” all threat in body mounts without manipulating . FRONT BUMPER - max height 20” to bottom of bumper REAR BUMPER - max height 16” to bottom of bumper 13. RADIATOR : Must remain in stock location or may be removed. No reinforcing of core support no radiator protectors 14. HOOD: Must have 4” hole on each side of carburetor Your allowed (10 ) 3/8” volts 1” max washer to bolt hood skin back together 6 spots to tie hood down (2) 1” all thread to frame and through it 3”x 1/4” washers on frame NOT WELDED in other 4 is sheet metal to sheet metal 6” angle bolted together or all thread no washers bigger then 6” x 1/4” all thread must not be attached to sheet metal more then 6” total 15. BODY : May be removed and replaced with 3/4” or smaller all thread washers 3” max must use factory body mounts holes NO modifications. 20. CAGE : 6 point max may extend to front of wheel wells max allowed 1 down tubes to frame 3” x 3” max front 2 must be even with or behind front inner door seam. *A LATE FEE OF $100.00 WILL BE CHARGED TWO HOURS PRIOR TO ADVERTISED START TIME* The Semi Stock Demolition Derby shall be open to people with a valid driver’s license or picture i.d. and 18 years of age. If 16 or 17 years of age you must have notarized consent from both parents/guardians present. All drivers will adhere to all rules and regulations. Towing and transporting of demolition derby cars to and from other demo locations must meet highway safety codes. Kickabuda Promotions will not be held liable. 1. Driver’s Entry: Driver’s must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Drivers must furnish his/her own car. Driver and pit persons must sign waiver release of liability prior to entering the pit area or track. DRIVERS AND PIT PERSONS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE DRIVER’S MEETING! 2. Preparation of Cars: No screws allowed. NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS (heavy duty plastic racing fuel cells are allowed). No wedging, no sedans, no jeeps, no trucks, no carryalls, no Hearst, no limos, no convertibles. All glass, chrome, pot metal, lights, carpet, headliner, back seats, fiber glass and anything else that is flammable must be removed before reaching the exhibit area (do not break glass down in the doors). Trunks must be empty of all debris, spare tire rims, parts, etc. Wagons must have spare tire flap removed or hold cut in it for inspection. ABSOLUTELY NO welding besides what is stated in these rules. UNLIMITED 9-WIRE. Must have seat belts and working brakes. 4. Drive Train: Any drive train allowed with the following criteria. Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted in a stock position on a v-block motor, front spark plugs must be even or in front of upper ball joint, on in-line motors number two (2) spark plug must be even or in front of upper ball joint. Lower cradle front plate and pulley protector. Nothing else allowed. You may use factory or aftermarket motor mounts. Only the lower motor mounts may be welded to engine cradle only. You may use ½” thick spacers to raise engine to clear steering components, may not exceed rubber mount area. No tranny protectors/braces, stock mounting only, stock cross members only, you may use a 2”x2”x1/4” angle iron 4” long welded only to inside frame rail to mount your stock cross member or 2 x 2 square tubing ¼” thick may be used…i.e. CHEVY DRIVE LINE IN A FORD. No other welding. After market bell-housing ok. Transmission coolers are allowed must be mounted in seat area and meet the approval of the official keep safety in mind when installing coolers. 5. Radiators: Any automotive radiator allowed ¼” expanded metal allowed. 8 bolts mounted in 8 locations. Mounted to core support only. Must be in between frame rails. Absolutely no welding. 6. Battery: Must be in a secure position and be covered with something nonflammable like rubber tube, rubber floor mat, et. Batteries must be secured so they don’t move. (2) 12v batteries max. 7. Rear Ends: Rear ends must be 5 lug. Any car rear end. One simple rear end brace aloud on backside only. 3”x3” max. No axle savers. No floaters. Locking of rear ends permitted. 8. Drive Shafts: May be shortened or lengthened or you may use slip drive shaft. 9. Suspension/Trailing Arms & A-Arms: No welding suspension parts whatsoever. Must remain stock UNLESS STATED BELOW. May be shortened or lengthened with no more than 1” overlap. No other reinforcement. A-arms may be bolted with 1-5/8 bolt or nin wired (with 4 wraps) or 1-3/8 chain (1 wrap) in no way to be used as reinforcement. Chain may be welded only. Spring spacers allowed. 10. Steering Column/Brakes/Shifter: May add knuckles to factory OEM columns or run after market columns. You can relocate shifter on the floor. Brakes must work/pinion brake ok. Cable shifter and cable gas peddles allowed. 11. Hood: Hood must remain in factory position. 6 hood bolts allowed only 2 may go through the frame outside of radiator. Bolts must not be any bigger than ¾ with washers no bigger than 6” outside diameter. You must have 2 holes cut in the hood big enough for fire extinguisher. Not directly over carburetor. You may use 20 bolts around header holes no bigger than SAE 3/8 with washers no bigger than 1” outside diameter. Must be factory height on spacers and not welded. 12. Trunk: You can use 4 ¾ bolts in trunk and 2 may go through frame with washers no bigger than 6” out side diameter. Trunk lid s must remain on factory hinges. Tucking or V’ing of trunk lid is allowed, but absolutely no wedging. You may chain or nine wire. NO MORE THAN ½ OF TRUNK MAY BE TUCKED. You may also weld trunk lid 6” leave 5” with 2” x ¼” strap or bolt with 12 3/8 bolts. Creasing allowed but cannot be double creased. 13. Body: No seam welding, no patching. Pre-denting is ok…creasing is allowed no double creasing. 14. Fenders & Quarter Panels: Fenders may be trimmed and 10 bolts may be used per fender. Bolts are to be no bigger than 3/8 with washers no bigger than 1” outside diameter. Quarter panels must remain vertical within 3” of OEM position. 15. Body Mount Bolts: Must be factory. Bushings must be factory. Body bolts if missing or broke may replace with same size factory bolt. 3” washers allowed. 16. Frame: 80’s and newer allowed to tilt. Welding allowed between rear of A arm to transmission cross member. 14” of welding max per frame rail. If tilting 80’s and newer, this is part of the 14”. No reinforcing of frame whatsoever. You can notch the frame. PATCHING OF FRAMES: 4 -4”x6”x 1/4” max, measurer outside weld to weld plates on pre ran cars only two plates on a fresh stub where connecting it to old frame. Must have at least a 4” gap between all plates and brackets. 17. Doors: Driver’s door may be welded solid with a strap no bigger than 3” on the outside only. All other doors you may weld 8” on 5” off with strap no bigger than 3”. You may chain or wire doors shut. On wagon’s tailgates NO WELDING. You may chain or nin wire in four places. 18. Cage & Halo Bars: All drivers and passenger doors may be reinforced. You should have a (6) point cage, cross bars may be ran as follows: one across dash, one behind front seats, one in rear seat. You can run four (4) down tubes, two (2) per side. Lower door bars are allowed between down tubes must be 6” or more above top of frame. NOTHIN OUT OF DRIVER’S COMPARTMENT. You can have steel plate between cage and front doors. Must be securely fastened to cage. Front bar must be mounted no more than 2” below the bottom of the front window seal and be no more than 4” in diameter. Must have 6” between front bar and firewall. Front bar cannot be attached to or contact firewall at any time. ALL DOWN TUBES MUST BE BEHIND THE DASH BAR, STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN AND ON FLAT PART OF FRAME. CANNOT GO TO BODY MOUNT BOXES. NO KICKERS TO REAR OR FRONT HUMPS. Must be 2” in front of rear inner fender wells. Nothing out of drivers compartment. No grater blades, metal plates or tubing on exterior of body (driver & passenger doors. Cage inside doors ok. 19. Bumpers: Any OEM stock automobile bumper must start with an OEM bumper, you may load the front and rear bumper if you choose, it must appear stock or you will not run!!!!! All reinforcement must be in a bumper itself or behind it. You may weld bumper bracket to frame 4” from the back of bumper, single pass only. Homemade bumpers allowed, they cannot exceed 6x6x1/2” with no more than a 4” point over a 32” span. Shocks may be collapsed and welded. All shocks and brackets in stock location only. Do not move! You can shorten the frame, but must have a 3” of frame sticking out in front of the front body mount (this mount is where your front all thread would go) i.e. Ford, Mercury and Lincoln. CANNOT MOVE CORE SUPPORT. Also on the old iron GM’s you can cut the piece off to square up to the front frame if you choose to hard nose these cars. You can hard nose the bumpers. Don’t want to be picking up bumpers. All bumper brackets and shocks must be in stock locations. If your car did not come with a shock, you may use a 74-76 Chevy cans or BOP bracket mounted in stock location with stock bolts, only welding described above. You may chain one piece of chain per side BOLTED from the mount to mount to hold on the bumper and weld a piece of strap (2”x1/4”) from frame to bumper 1” overlap on each end. Bumpers can be no higher than 26” from the ground to the top of the bumper or lower than 16” from the ground to the bottom of the bumper. 20. Gas Tanks: Maximum of 6 gallons of gas. Fuel cells/metal boat tanks must be placed in back seat area and properly secured. NO STOCK TANKS. Fuel cells must be secured so there is no movement. (DON’T USE BUNGEE CORDS). If tank is not secure you will not be running. Fuel cells must have secure caps and be leak proof. All fuel lines must have no leaks. Stock gas tanks must be removed or have holes in them and washed out. NO PLASTIC TANKS (heavy plastic racing fuel cells may be used). You must have a shield of metal or tin between driver and gas tank (this may be mounted with screws). 21. Tires & Rims: Tire inside of tire is ok. Fork lift tires ok. No fluid inside of tires. Valve stem protectors ok. Full weld in centers ok. Bead locks ok. 22. #9 Wire: 9 wire can go from sheet metal to sheet metal and from cage to frame. No where else. This is a SEMI STOCK class it will remain SEMI STOCK class so do not do any more than what is stated in these rules. Do not do anything to make your car illegal after inspection. If this happens you will be disqualified and no return of entry fee. Officials have the right to re-inspect your cars at any time. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM OF WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THIS CLASS!!!!! Please do not have us make an example out of you. DECISION OF OFFICIALS IS FINAL! SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!

*A LATE FEE OF $100.00 WILL BE CHARGED TWO HOURS PRIOR TO ADVERTISED START TIME* The Bare Bone Stock/Bare Bone Stock Team Demo Derby Rules shall be open to people with a valid driver’s license or picture i.d. and 18 years of age. If 16 or 17 years of age you must have notarized consent from both parents/guardians present. All drivers will adhere to all rules and regulations. Towing and transporting of demolition derby cars to and from other demo locations must meet highway safety codes. Kickabuda Promotions will not be held liable. This class will be limited to 1980 or newer cars. All glass, chrome, pot metal, carpet, headlights, tail lights and back seat must be removed. Anything flammable must be removed before reaching exhibit area. 1. Driver’s Entry: Driver’s must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Drivers must furnish his/her own car. Driver and pit persons must sign waiver release of liability prior to entering the pit area or track. DRIVERS AND PIT PERSONS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE DRIVER’S MEETING! 2. Entry Fees: Entries will be accepted up to one (2) hourS prior to the advertised start of the race then a late fee of $100.00 will be charged. Stock gas tank can be used under car if it is in front of the rear axle. If changed to inside it must be a metal fuel cell no exceptions. Must be secured properly to floor or cage but not both and no fuel leakage. No more than 6 gallons of gas. 4. Battery may be relocated to inside of car but must be secured properly (1 automotive battery). 5. HOOD must have a 5x5 hole cut in it to extinguish fires. Hood must open for inspection and must remain on hinges. You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8. 6 in hood to fender and 2 from hood to bumper or you can use 9 wire the same way with unlimited per fastening spot. Must have windshield bar from top of windshield to top of firewall. You can use 9 wire, chain or 3” flat metal. 2 max in this area. 6. TRUNKS must be on hinges. You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8 in trunk. 6 to fasten trunk lid and 2 from trunk lid to bumper or you can use 9 wire the same way with unlimited per fastening spot. You may tuck 50% of trunk lid only or remove lid completely. No body creasing of any kind. 7. DOORS you can use 6 pieces of chain 3/8 per door or 6 pieces of 9 wire per door unlimited. You may have a 4 post cage with 2 side bars and 2 cross bars. The cage cannot extend past dash area in front and no farther than 6” behind driver’s door. This can be welded or bolted in. You may have a halo bar. No down tubes. This is for driver’s safety only. Not intended for reinforcement. If cage is too big you will be asked to cut. Both front doors may have up to 6” wide channel or equivalent 6” in front of front doors to 6” behind front doors welded or bolted. 8. TIRES D.O.T. approved light truck tires max. 9. REAR ENDS Stock rear end for that make and model of car GM to GM, Ford to Ford. Locking of rear end is permitted. 10. FRAME Notching of rear frame is permitted. Front frame can be shortened up to 1” in front of core support mount. Must have at least 1” of frame between front of weld on core support mount and bumper. Frame repair pre ran only must show damage. 4 @ 4x4x1/4 plates max measured outside weld to outside weld! 11. BUMPERS No homemade or V bumpers. No loaded bumpers. No welds on the bumper other than mounting of it. Can be welded on or bolted on with (2) 3/4x8” althred with 3” washer. Can also use 9 wire or chain along with bolting. You may weld bumper on to factory shocks or hard nose it. No added metal may be used to weld on bumper. 12. ENGINES You may use any engine and trans (ford to ford, chevy to chevy, etc.) May have headers. You must use stock engine mounts in stock positions. Only the lower stock engine mounts may be welded to engine crossmember only. May have 2 chains from engine to engine crossmember only. One per side. Engine must be mounted in a stock position. 13. DRIVE SHAFTMust use stock drive shaft. May lengthen or shorten to fit. 14. SHIFTERShifters aloud. 15. GAS PEDAL Gas & Break pedals must remain in stock position. After market, allowed. COMPACT BARE BONE STOCK WHEELBASE UP TO 111” *A LATE FEE OF $100.00 WILL BE CHARGED TWO HOURS PRIOR TO ADVERTISED START TIME* The Compact Demolition Derby shall be open to people with a valid driver’s license or picture i.d. and 18 years of age. If 16 or 17 years of age you must have notarized consent from both parents/guardians present. All drivers will adhere to all rules and regulations. Towing and transporting of demolition derby cars to and from other demo locations must meet highway safety codes. Kickabuda Promotions will not be held liable. 1. Driver’s Entry: Driver’s must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Drivers must furnish his/her own car. Driver and pit persons must sign waiver release of liability prior to entering the pit area or track. DRIVERS AND PIT PERSONS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE DRIVER’S MEETING! 2. Entry Fees: Entries will be accepted up to one (2) hourS prior to the advertised start of the race then a late fee of $100.00 will be charged. Preparation of Cars: Front wheel drive or rear wheel drive cars no 4x4’s and no pacers, wheel base not to exceed 110” from center of wheel to center of wheel (must be factory 110” can’t move wheels in). All glass, chrome, pot metal, carpet, head lights, tail lights, back seats, anything flammable must be removed before reaching exhibit area. FOR FALL SHOW PUMPKIN SMASH ONLY – Pre ran only, repair only must show visible damage. You may weld broken frame if needed. May use 2 patchs 4”x4” max measured outside weld to outside weld. 4. Rules below are the maximum you may do to a car: Dash may be removed. Cars need to be 4 or 6 cylinders only. Stock gas tank can be used under car if it’s in front of the rear axle. If changed to inside, it must be a metal fuel cell no exceptions. Must be secured properly and no fuel leakage. No more than 6 gallons of gas. Battery may be relocated to inside of car but must be secured properly (1 automotive battery). Hood must have a 5x5 hole cut in it to extinguish fires. Hood must open for inspection and must remain on hinges. You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8” 6 in hood to fender, 2 from hood to bumper or you can use 9 wire the same way wit unlimited per fastening spot. Must have windshield bar from top of windshield to top of fire wall you can use 9 wire, chain or 3” flat metal 2 max in this area. Trunks must be on hinges. You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8” in trunk 6 to fasten trunk lid and 2 from trunk lid to bumper or you can use 9 wire the same way with unlimited wraps per fastening spot. You can tuck 50% of trunk lid only or remove trunk lid completely. Bumpers can be bolted on with (2) ¾” x 8” althread with 3” washers. You can also use nine wire or chain along with bolting. Doors you can use 6 pieces of chain 3/8” per door or 6 pieces of 9 wire per door with unlimited wraps. Both front doors you can have a 6” wide piece of channel or equivalent from 6” in front of front doors to 6” behind front doors. May be welded or bolted. May have bar behind front seat no further back than 3” behind front seat. 5. Safety belt and DOT approved helmets are required. All helmets must be securely fastened. You are required to wear long pants and shirt. It is recommended that you wear a long-sleeve shirt or fire suit. It is also recommended that you have an emergency kill switch painted red and located on the passenger side in dash area. 6. If anything is changed on your car after inspection to make your car illegal, you will be automatically disqualified and will not receive a refund of entry. 7. No pit person is allowed in the track area. 8. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification. MANAGEMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY A CAR/DRIVER AT ANY TIME! Any person in pit or track area causing trouble and not obeying the rules will be asked to leave the area immediately. (We can and will have police escort you out and/or have you arrested.) You may also be banned from running in any future Kickabuda Promotions events. The officials have the right to re-inspect a car at any time including after the race. If anything is found to be illegal, you will forfeit all prizes which will then go to the next person in line. Any protest by a driver on another car must be made within 5 minutes after that cars final heat (including the feature) along with a $200.00 fee. If any mechanical work needs to be done to prove your complaint, you will complete such work and put the car back the way it was. If the complaint is proven, you will receive all your money back. KICKABUDA PROMOTIONS PUMPKIN SMASH 2019 FALL DEMOLITION DERBY RULES ONLY 2019 LAWN MOWER DEMOLITION DERBY RULES 1. Only front mounted motors are allowed on mowers. Nor rear mounted motors allowed. 2. Must be a factory lawn mower engine, Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Onan, etc. 3. No zero turn mowers allowed. 4. Only belt driven mowers allowed. 5. Electric start mower preferred, you must be able to start your mower from your seat. No lying across the hood of your mower to start it. If it dies while in derby no restarting allowed. 6. Battery and fuel tank cannot be in front of the motor. They both must be securely attached. Gas tanks must have a cap. Any mower leaking fuel or that is not safe will be disqualified for that heat. Battery must be located under the seat or hood. Lawn mower battery only. 7. All plastic, lights must be removed. Mower decks must be removed. 8. All mowers must have a factory hood and factory fenders. Plastic hoods may be replaced with sheet metal hoods. Hoods must be secured by bolting, chaining shut. 9. In a roll over, you are finished in the derby. 10. All mowers must have leg and feet guards installed. These guards must be built to protect feet and legs. The outside of guards must be covered with sheet metal. They may be welded or bolted to rear fenders and front frame and foot rest area. These guards must be built safe. Any mower with an unsafe leg guard or any guard that falls off during event will be disqualified or not allowed to participate. Leg guards must be behind front wheels and in front of back wheels. 11. A back seat bar is allowed. This is to protect the back of the seat. This bar may be mounted to the rear fenders of the mower. 12. Clean up your welds! We do not want any participants cut from nasty welds. 13. Frames must be stock. Frames may have repair welds. Frames may have added metal to attach bumpers. Mounting brackets no longer than 12”. 14. Exhaust must be stock. 15. All mowers must use lawn mower type wheels. Rear wheels (rims) may not be any larger than 12” in diameter. Tractor treads and cut tires, ATV tires are permitted. Air in tires only (no foam filled tires). 16. No duel wheels allowed. No wheel covers, wheel weights or chains allowed. 17. Tubes, slime, and other sealants are allowed. No foam filled tires allowed. You are allowed to glue or screw tires to rims. 18. Modifications or replacement of the drive pulleys is allowed, but all mowers must be safe and participate at a safe speed. Official decision is final. 19. Transaxles must be factory available transaxles, but reinforcing and/or welding of spider gears is allowed. 20. Bumpers, all bumpers front and rear must be safe! NO pointed or jagged bumpers. Bumpers may not exceed 3” x 3” an no wider than inside of wheels. 21. No grill guards on front of mower. All reinforcing must be behind sheet metal and contained inside of hood area. 22. No kickers or braces from front bumper to leg guards. 23. Mowers may have steering altered or reinforced but modifications must be kept to a minimum. CALL FIRST 24. All mowers must have number painted on side or back. 25. All drivers must wear a helmet. All other ground rules and event rules will be gone over in the driver’s meeting. Official’s decision is final. Mowers can have rollover bar. Participant Regulations: Figure 8 drivers will race a certain amount of laps per heat and must make contact on another car every other lap. Forward or backward or whatever it takes to go in a figure 8. No hitting of the driver’s door. 5. Drivers have one (1) minute to hit another active car and not hitting opponents in the driver’s door. No sandbagging. No team driving. 6. Slogans or advertising may be put anywhere except front doors and roof. Put number on front doors and put name above on roof. Also, put a minimum 12” x 18” sign with your number on top of car. (MANDATORY). NO PROFANITY! The sign on top of car will be enforced. 7. Radiator and fans can be removed. Transmission coolers may be removed or relocated. Batteries must be placed in a secure position. They must not move when shaken and covered with something nonflammable. 8. Doors - may be welded solid. NO welding wagon gates, they must be wired or chained. Doors not welded must be wired or chained shut. 9. Cage - If you do not run a cage you may have a bar on each front door but can not exceed 3” in front of doors or exceed 3” past back door. You may build a cage from the driver’s side to the passenger’s side doors. You may have two side bars (these may be welded and/or bolted). The cage must be a minimum of 2” in front of inner fender well. You may have three cross bars: 1 in the dash area and 2 in the back seat area (These may be welded and/or bolted). Vertical down tubes are allowed only on the front driver and passenger doors. THESE BARS CAN NOT GO TO THE FRAME! DO NOT CONNECT TO BODY MOUNT BOLTS! Material for this cage can not exceed 10” in width. NO REINFORCEMENTS EXCEPT AS STATED IN THESE RULES! Halo bars may be connected to cage. They may be welded or bolted. 10. Drivers Safety– Driver safety is are first priority; any car not deemed to be safe by the officials will not run. Must have wire, chain or bar from roof to dash in front window opening to keep hood from coming into driver’s compartment. This can not be more than 3” past top or bottom of window opening. An emergency kill switch is recommended on the passenger side painted red and in dash area. 11. Hoods – Must be wired, chained or bolted shut. If althread is used, you may use a maximum of six ¾” with washers no bigger than 6” outside diameter on hood. Two may go to or through frame but can not be in front of radiator. You may put 8 bolts no bigger than 3/8” with washers no bigger than 1” in hood. If you use althread, no chain may be used. If you chain, you may use two ¾” althread on back of hood. Four - 2x2x1/4” angles can be used with a maximum of 2” length per angle. You can only use two angles per side, maximum on the hood. NO WELDING HOODS, THEY MUST ABLE TO OPEN FOR INSPECTION. 12. Trunks, Hatches, Wagon Gates – Must be wired, chained or bolted shut (no welding). On trunk, you may use a maximum 4 althread ¾” with washers no bigger than 6” outside diameter (none may go to frame). You may use only one method. 13. Frame - No stuffing frames. You may have 2 patchs (4”wide 6”long and ¼”thick) on pre-rans only. No welding on fresh cars. No leaf spring conversions. No homemade struts and front suspension must remain stock. 14. Gas Tanks: Gas tanks must be properly secured. NO MORE THAN 5 GALLONS OF GASOLINE IS ALLOWED! No movement of the gas tanks will be allowed. Lines and connectors must be leak proof. All factory tanks allowed, but must be covered in back seat area or in front of rear axle. 15. Tires – UP TO 14 PLY TIRES ALLOWED. Skid Steer and fork truck tires are allowed. However, no paddle tires are allowed.No water in tires, no tires screwed to rims, no tire inside of tire, no paddle tires. Valve stem protectors aloud. 16. Bumpers - ANY FULL SIZED STOCK BUMPERS ALLOWED must be cut down to width of car (CENTER OF FRONT TIRE TREAD). You may weld the bumper on. Bumper brackets may be welded on. Loaded bumpers okay. You can have 2- bumper straps 14 inches long x ¼ x 4 inches wide must be flat strap. 1 per side of car., No other reconfiguration you can have strap or shocks not both shocks must be factory. BUMPER SKINS MAY BE WELDED. NO HOME MADE BUMPERS & NO POINTYS ALLOWED. 17. Leaf springs - Car with leaf springs must remain factory with factory leaf packs for that car. You may use 3 clamps on springs per side. 18. The following must be removed before entering the pit area – all glass, chrome, pot metal, fiber glass, carpet, head liner, back seat, and anything that is flammable except the drivers seat. 19. No bigger than 2x3 material to be used. 8. Motor Mounts: You can use a 2x2 square tubing to replace factory mount but nothing to make it a kicker. 9. Radiators: May be removed but not relocated. 10. Transmission: Tranny coolers are allowed, keep safety in mind when installing. No protectors. You can have a after market shifter. 11. Battery: Must be in a secure position and be covered with something nonflammable (like rubber floor mat). Batteries must be secure with no movement. 12. Suspension: Must remain stock, except as stated in these rules. You may weld shocks, spacers allowed, c v shafts may be modified. No modified tie rods, ball joints, etc. 13. Steering Column: May be modified from gear box to steering wheel. All other components must remain stock. 14. Hood: Must be in factory position. 4 hood bolts allowed but only 2 can go to the frame. They can’t go in front of the radiator. Bolts must not be bigger than ¾” with washers no bigger than 6” outside diameter. Must have 2 holes cut in hood big enough for fire extinguisher. Not directly over carburetor. Althread or bolts must be straight no making a L out of them. 15. Trunk/Wagon Tailgate/Hatches: You can use (4) ¾” bolts with washers not bigger than 6” outside diameter, none to the frame. Trunk lids must remain on hinges. You may tuck the trunk but no wedging and no sedagons. If you don’t bolt, you may weld trunk 1” leave 6”. Hatches and wagon tailgates weld 1” leave 6”. 16. Body: No seam welding allowed. No patching allowed. Pre denting is ok. Creasing allowed, no double creasing, no welding or bolting creases. 17. Fenders: Fenders may be trimmed. 10 bolts per fender may be used. Bolts are not to be bigger than 3/8” with washers no larger than 1” outside diameter. 18. Body Mount Bolts: Must be factory size and must be in factory location. Must have factory rubbers. 19. Frame: Absolutely no welding on frame. No reinforcing of frame. You can notch the frame. You can have (2) 5”x6”x1/4” plates for damaged area only. Must have at least 4” between all patches and brackets. 20. Doors: Doors may be welded solid with a strap no bigger than 3”, on the outside only. Driver’s door should be reinforced. 21. Cage: You may have a cage with two side bars and three bars across. The cage can’t extend past the dash area in the front and must be at least 2” in front of the rear wheel wells in the back. This can be welded in. Absolutely no kickers. You may have a halo bar no further back than 10” behind driver’s seat. None of the cage or halo bars can connect to the frame, or to windshield bars or roof signs. Cage must be at least 4” off of floor and no higher than bottom of door windows. Halo bars must be vertical. 22. Bumpers: Full sized stock bumpers allowed must be cut down to width of car (center of front tire tread). You may weld the bumper on. Bumper brackets may be welded on. No back brackets on front. No stuffed or loaded bumpers. You can have 2 bumper straps 14”x1/4”x4” wide must be flat strap. 1 per side of car. No pointy’s, no other reconfiguration you can have strap or shocks not both shocks must be factorys. Bumper skin may be welded. 23. Gas Tank: Maximum 5 gallons gas. Gas tank must be placed in back seat area and properly secured. Tanks must be secured so there is no movement. Don’t use bungee cords for this. If tank is not secured, you will not be running. Tanks must have secure lids and be leak proof. All fuel lines must have no leaks. Stock gas tanks in cars must be removed or have holes in them and be washed out. You may run stock tank if it is in front of rear axle. No plastic tanks (exception heavy duty plastic racing fuel cell). You must have a shield between gas tank and driver. This shield must be metal or tin. This may be mounted with screws. No Freon tanks with legs welded on them. 24. Tires: Any tire allowed. Valve stem protectors are ok. No reinforcing of rims except around bolt holes (2” maximum on outside diameter of lug holes). 25. Back Window Bars: You may use nine wire or a chain in back window area chain links can’t be welded if you use chain you may use 2”x3”x3” plates to attach chain. 26. Cars must have at least one bar attached from roof down to dash area to prevent hood from coming in. 27. Radiator over flow hoses must be pointed at at the ground and fastened so they can’t shoot water towards officials or other drivers. 28. Header pipes must be pointing straight up, can’t be aimed towards front of cars. 29. If you have a hole in the fire wall, it should be covered. 30. 2 fires and you are out unless it’s a fuel fire, then it’s just 1 fire and you are out. 31. If any mechanical work needs to be done to prove your complaint, you will complete such work and put the car back the way it was. If the complaint is proven, you will receive all your money back. If it is not proven, you will receive none of your money back. 35. Contestants of the Kickabuda Promotions demolition derby are not employees of said demolition derby. Driver and their pit personnel are responsible for any damage caused by their negligence on the track or in the pit area. No packaged alcoholic beverages or drugs will be allowed in the Pit Area or Track. Any violations will result in immediate disqualification. Any driver or pit crew member exhibiting signs of impairment or the smell of alcoholic beverage shall be disqualified. Kickabuda Promotions is not responsible for any injuries to drivers and/or pit crew and all people in Pit Area. Kickabuda Promotions is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Kickabuda Promotions reserves the right to make changes as necessary. These rules supersede any and all rules previously used. DECISION OF OFFICIALS IS FINAL! SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!
