Input on tire/rim sizing... Would most people suggest a 25 inch tall skidsteer tire for 14 inch wheel, or for 15 inch wheel? Overall tire diameter would be the same on both...
14 inch wheel size leaves more sidewall to damage, but wheel is smaller and harder to damage. 15 inch wheel size leaves less sidewall to damage, but larger wheel that could potentially be bent or damage the lip to pop tire off the bead.
For this scenario let's assume wheels are allowed to have full center but no bead lip protector, no beadlocks and no foam filled.

Track plays a roll in the decision and rearend +type of a car but that one isn’t as important. I would go 25’s or even 23’s 99% of the time

I run 15s i won’t change I don’t care about the track. Wheels are cheaper than tires. I can drive on bent wheel but not so good on flat tire Jmi

Doubled 25 8.50 14 out back and doubled 5.50 15 in front regardless of track conditions.

I'm a 14" wheel kinda guy, I can find/have numerous different sizes of tires for 14" wheels and can get where I need to be with the tires and wheels I have on hand.

I like 14s 23x8.50-14 on the rear. Way more clearance and most bumpers can’t hit them. 700-15s for the fronts on everything. I have a set of 27 inch skids I plan on running later this month, but that’s on old iron and need rear bumper height.

Not asking about 23s at all. I know about them and would run them if we didnt have soft tracks in my area... I'm asking if people would run a 25 inch skidsteer tire for a 14 inch wheel, or run a 25 inch tire on a 15 inch wheel. I have access to both tires and just figuring which has the most benefits vs downfalls.

25-14s. double them. as long as the rear doesn't go down/sheet metal fold down into tires, you shouldn't need to buy another set for a while.

Where did you find 25s for a 15? they're probably the ones labeled 27s, but are 25" tall... i've seen someone post on here about it, but haven't check into myself. I want to say they were carlisles?

Yes they are labeled 27, but are the exact same height as the 8.5x25-14. I have both of them in our shop and have compared them side by side. Dont remember the brand.
