What years of crown Vic’s need the watts link conversion? Building for an extremely stock 80’s n newer show . No welding pretty much gut and go wondering what Vic I should take. Thanks

I should’ve mentioned that I can’t put the watts in . Is a 98-02 still my best option?

Some say yes. They have weaker humps due to the holes for the watts. Id rather run 97 amd older

all 98^ have watts link rearends. I'd run 97-older for stock shows if you have one.

I run a lot of street stock shows, I prefer the 98-02s(all 3) or 96/97 lincolns/mercs

If i had a choice and it had to be ford my pick 99% of time would be the 91 vic. Hd or not those are my favorite. Next would be 92-97 merc or box Lincoln. I just know what ever your in Around here now days An 03 gonna wreck it in a hurry lol

We are now just getting into tilting so it’s all new to the area I’m from. Would a 03 and newer be good for stock?

That's about all anyone runs in 80s shows around here are 07+for the steel lowers. Once you get steering and make a cradle to fit sbc they are cheap and easy cars to run. Keep changing cradle car to car and run 80s a arms on uppers and spindles. They all run homemade square tubing bumpers and drive forward all night. They are trickier to build than 97 an older but nose to nose 03 all day. You just have to learn that your night can be over much quicker in 03 than the older vics. Front wheels are much weaker being aluminum cradle
