Yea I've only built 4 cars about to be a 5th for this up coming year. We really dont have rusted out cars up here where I live. I mean we get them but not as bad as some places have it. My buddy might be selling his derby car this year to build a imp. Anything to look out for on previous ran cars? It's been probably 5 years since he built the car.

Sounds like you oughta just find your self a 67-73 imperial. Easy to build. And then give it to the guys that took ya out

Only issue with the imp would be, there will be a massive target on my back if I could find a 67-73 imp.

He's got to start somewhere to learn. Plenty of info an pictures on here. Can't say any of us jumped into this sport knowing everything. Just like a caddy you go pay ton for it then wronger builder it an waste it. Ya it's tough but I'd rather waste five 03 up for less then a caddy DAMN!!! another scenario i can relate to. First old iron i ever built 15 years ago was a spotless and i mean 100 percent spotless 76 Caddy. I tried my best with the knowledge i had but man if i had that car today!!! WATCH THE F$#K out.... Didn't help i was up against 8 IMPS in the feature... ended 5th i think and blew the humps and front never moved. Scrapped it....Stupid!!!! Sounds like me with my first weld car. Decided to build the best car I had which was a 74 T/P Buick Electra and had good luck with it but definitely should have saved that one for when I had some more experience
