Is there any cars out there at is as tough as the imperials? My Fleetwood got taken out before I could make any hits on the front wheels on the imperial that was in my heat. I run a "stock limited weld" class.

What compares a car to a imp is good driving an buddys especially if your in a caddy. Even a Ford car rip the tires off a imp.

Its not always the car. You get the wrong driver in imp an good driver in anything else an things go bad for imp.

As far as cars I say Vics are the hardest to beat. Never waist a hit

Vics are hard to beat because they out number every other make of car at the track. They are short they spin on a dime but no protector class nose to nose not many stand a chance vs an imp. BUT like a ford. Front wheels will break. 50% of the time they break them selves turning to sharp on a rough track going to fast and they will roll the tire under like a caddy.. But like stated the driver is 90% of any car. 10% is actual car and build.

The Driver is the main factor, class also plays a big part in it, the more you can do, the more even the playing field becomes

My caddy is a 1983, which I ran a 5.3 ls with a turbo 400. The rear humps are bending down and it took a massive lick to the passenger front tire. Bent upper control arm. Which took me out. The car is rusted out pretty bad. When I got it last year I didn't realize how bad it was until after last season, when the trunk/ rear wheel wells split from each other and from the frame. And now I'm looking for a new car. The car can probably be fixed. I dont think the frame is that bad yet. I'll take a better look at it when I get off from work today.

Thats the wrong year of Caddy to take against and Imp, a 69-74 is what I believe you want to have a chance to go against an Imp.

Yea I know it's the wrong year of caddy. But the local junkyard doesn't really have much of a collection of older cars. They pretty much have 90s to mid 2000s cars. They didn't at that time have any vics there.

03 is the modern day imperial Nick Mike brown has a podcast out there about a 03 vs a imp. But a 03 has its weak points to after you fix the relief slots a arms forward then you can run it an plate after its bent or fix it before but then you got to hide it youtu.be/e5VwXKx_3gw
