So I just got given a little Dixon zero turn mower(not sure on the model name) that needs an engine. It was a 16hp Kohler,so I went out back and checked out the selection of junk mowers my buddy has and found a 15.5hp Kohler. I was gonna swap the bottom end from the 15.5hp one because the 16hp knocks hard, does anyone know if it'll work or is there a difference in the two engines? Only thing I seen was the ignition was a little different and the carbs look like different sizes. And is there anywhere I can find a diagram of the deck belts that isn't pixelated to hell and back or 8 states away? Mowers aren't my forte so I apologize if my questions are stupid lol.

Generally those small engines are pretty universal when they are the close to the same HP rating. Im just guessing the range, but generally any 14-18ish engine will have the same the bellhousing and shaft size.
