Hey I usually run chevys. This will be my first dodge. It’s a 74 Monaco with a 360 2bl. Not sure on what’s weak and what’s not on these cars. Show I’m running is pretty stock. Not really any welding aloud. Also curious for all the ignition boxes and coil and what not for the car where does everyone relocate them? There currently on the passenger fender well. Looking for any tips or tricks for these cars. Also do these trunks fold or push in? Any help is appreciated thank you

In my case it's to find parts for a restore, but for him I'm not sure, maybe he was expecting an instant reply?

At least you are still here. He lasted 7 minutes lol STROMI 121 probably told him to go to facebook wecrash instead for instant answers. He used to post a link to a specific build thread for the guy to read, but now just says go look on facebook, all the answers are there. Just a side note. STROMI 121 doesn't thumbs up my car find pics at all anymore.

There are plenty of instant answers on Facebook. Most of them are incorrect.

We used to run a bunch of Mopar, full size shockers back in the day. Go to the local pick a part yard. Go to the K car section and buy the double u joint steering shaft. This is very easy to modify and install in the 74-78 full size. Your steering shaft will never be pinched making it hard to steer. Take the axle shafts out of another rear end. Cut off the end of the axle. Take off the back bumper and shocks. Beat the axle into the frame (small splined end first) as far as it can go. Re install the bumper shocks and rear bumper. Then get flat plate steel (length from trunk lid lip to under the speaker deck)12 inches wide and 1 inch thick. You will need another piece to run sideways across the speaker deck. Four big hardened bolts for trunk lid and two big all thread to run through the shock tower. A big plate goes under there too. Use a pointed New Yorker bumper on the front. This will give you a complete stock appearance. I have folded up many Impala sedans and wagons with this combination. Be sure to hit the Impalas across the fenders with that pointed bumper. I've always put the pedal to the floor when that opportunity exists. There's absolutely nothing more beautiful than watching that Impala hood now in middle like a tepee. Be sure to run a GM CV (2 joints in back) driveshaft. Cut out the GM splined yoke and do the same thing for the Mopar. Put the Chrysler splined socket into the GM ring and weld it solidly in place. We never lost a drive shaft with this combo. I hope this helps.
