Running spring explosion bone stock rules. Says you can only swap springs. What’s the best spring to use to get the most height?

Speaking of this, I have stock like rules around me for a local show bottom of bumper car be 25” up but When you go to a bigger spring what are you doing as far as shocks in Vic’s? I cannot have anything in place of the shock, allthread, box tube, etc

use the stock one. The a-arm can only go down so far. the shock should/will be longer than the frame to lower control arm distance...

If it's a box style move the a arms out an then bolt them down. Little more height since you move out the a arms.

Someone was telling me that you can use the stock ford springs. The shock is the biggest part. I’m assuming it’s just a longer shock that basically is going to be bottomed out when the control arms are maxed? Anyone got detail on this?

That's a lot of weight to support on a 3/4 diameter rod or whatever. You would be better off changing the springs if you are concerned about height. I never changed the spring or shocks when I ran those rules though, just ran stock.

We remove the shocks and kick the front springs... that usually maxes the a arm travel by itself
