In my opinion it doesn’t matter how long the feature last as long as there is action. Fans. want to see cars hitting not cars driving forward and backward for and hour and not make a hit. Most people think anything over an hour is to long.

Rules to date: my god with all the protector bullshit/kickers,tilting,prebending ect they are outlaw cars. guys are putting 10 to 20 grand in cars to freaking wreck. then everybody wonders why they sandbag cause they do not want to waste a 10 grand motor. cars this hard should not be sandbagging period. Change rules to make the cars bend.
Limit fuel to a few gallons and enforce it !!! outlaw the fords !! Put a time limit on heats/feature .

no feature should last over an hr at these shows. ill be honest and some of the reason is the officals allow it. they bang there sticks toghter and yeall at them and im a driver and will tell you that they aint looking at you. make them or put them out and start lowering money every 10 mins after an hr and they will pick the pace up. if not they tore alot of cars up for no reason.

Well it depends on how much bagging is allowed. Hell if they wanna drive in circles, stay home and run the local dirt track. A good aggressive feature shouldn't last more than hour. Let'em eat!!!

In my opinion no derby will go over an hour if they are truly hitting to cause damage rather than qualify as a hit to bag and avoid damage. Sandbagging has become so bad and crowds see it. Literally just got home from show and best cars out there literally driving around not hitting at all and even just sitting there and then tappy tap. An elderly lady next to us even asked why do they allow that guy to not hit. Strategy to win money equals full bagging, tag teaming etc rather than destroy who you can. My idea is add strict spotters to watch for baggers and hold them accountable. No more taps, hits must be made hard enough to damage opponent. Enforce it how you like. Mark them as baggers. Paint their door, tie a ballon, or best one I think is pull a plug wire for each warning. Mark them and give someone a free hit. Get rid of bagging and derby will be lucky to go 30 mins. Enforce 5 gallon max tanks. Will upset drivers at first but if everyone is held to same rule then show will be awesome and the cry babies baggers will go elsewhere. Fans bore of same small hits. Motors barely coming off idle. Plus if your cars are allowed to be hard then let them show how hard they are. Drivers quit trying to convince yourself of how awesome you are by avoiding damage or giving damage till end. The derby starts at drop of flag not the last 5 mins. Advertise heavily the "No Bagging Allowed" shows and use it to draw real fans and real drivers. Push the rule heavily and think you will be surprised with the results. It's the main talk of the stands at every derby I have attended for past years and even by fans that don't know or truly understand the sport. Save our favorite past time by stepping up and lead with it and be strict about it. Will make kick ass shows and guys will automatically know ahead of time when flag drops its on. Send maddogs instantly into feature if having heats and pull their cars out so no more damage. Make Derbies Great Again

heats/feature shouldn't last over an hour, dial the rules waaaaaay back,a simple d/p, basic cage, let the cars get tore up, limit the time, if by the end of the heat there's not the amount of cars selected for the feature-nobody goes, if by the end of the feature time limit there is no winner-nobody except maybe a mad dog gets paid(if there is one). HAVE THE BALLS THE ENFORCE THE RULES. 5 of us used to go to bash-for the past few years NONE of us have had any interest to go, too much bagging, and its a drunkfest.
