Thanks. No, we’re not allowed to tilt anything here. It’d be interesting to see how they would hold up if we were allowed to tilt these.

That vic is basically done. It just needs a rearend, column, Motor and trans and it’s ready to go. The main derby it was built for got moved to October. We will be running a pair of box Vic’s first then transferring stuff to the 03’s I’ll post pics of the 10’ as it moves along Nick

This is my brothers 2010. There is still a lot to do, but it’s coming along Nick This is how much was cut off the front of it. I think 2.5” This lightly preran 74 bumper is going on it It’s getting a preran 74-6 Chevy rear bumper. The 10 bolt is back under it with the watts link conversion brackets.

Saw something I can maybe give some advice on. Certainly not a shot at you considering I bet most guys on here are guilty of this including me. The vertical weld that held the bumper on, did you run that from top to bottom? The reason I ask is that the actual dig in of the weld doesnt look very deep. I am very guilty of vertical down welding, but on the last car I built I had a crack all the way down all 4 vertical welds on the bumper. I tri passed every weld on the bumper, and I had really good joints on the top and bottom which held the bumper on, still big huge cracks down the verticals. Vertical down welds are not very good at all at penetrating metal that is even over an 1/8" thick. It doesn't have time to put heat into the joint even with a welder cranked up. I always did it, but have since spent a bunch of time learning how to go vertical up. While it sucks it is a waaaay better, stronger weld. Figure this may help someone on here.
