The rules say nothing about how built the trans can be. I will have to find out. Forgot to mention, dash bar must be 5" from firewall. DP 1" from firewall.

My bad i misread i thought dash bar had to be 1 inch. But Rule say 1 inch at start of derby? Like ours around me state that way. Id still go with what i explained are you allowed to change body bolts to run no body mounts or solid mounts?

Yes. DP 1" from firewall on fresh car. Cab change body bolts to 3/4" but must use still use rubber mount or hockey puck. I was just going to use the rubber mount and squish it down as far as I can.

If your allowed a full cradle just without the DP and a tranny brace I would choose that every time

Only lower cradle and pulley protector. DP or tranny brace. Not both.

Mid plate is only allowed as an adapter to mount tranny. Can't extend upwards.

Dp if you can have dash bar tight to it, or a kicker, thats a little more of a thought, but surface area wise and basically making it to push back into a tapered fit, I think there is alot more strength there personally.

Mid plate is only allowed as an adapter to mount tranny. Can't extend upwards. I wasn't thinking upward just was thinking lower cradle to midplate. That then has tranny brace. This then can be locked into floor with trans holding the frame straight. DP wise what about using windshield bars as the kicker since dash bar has to be 5 inchs and use a brace off it to dash bar to control flex.

I bet that would get cut, but thats exactly what i do except i bring my window bar from down through cowl and weld.to dash bar. Just like my rear window bar from speaker deck to halo. From window bar to GTP

I am going to go with a trans brace pressured into the floor. Do I leave the front body bolts loose when pushing back then tighten them? Then weld in cross member?

I don’t know if anyone still gets on here but I Understand the concept of pressure def on the full protector cars . I am not new to the derby world but the game has definitely changed a lot I am looking to venture back in with stock or wire . Most of the shows do not allow steel bell or tail trans . I read on here using the body to pressure frame I grasp that concept but seems core support and fenders would only hold so long before it kinks and starts to roll I guess my confusion is what to do with crossmember because back in 06-11 when I was running we kinda pressured these cars but started breaking transmissions alot so we settled for plate as that was the only way to not fold like a pop can
