has any one ever stuck a y frame under a pinch frame car I have a good built y frame and I have a 81 New Yorker that the frame is bad from the fire wall all the way to the bumper can it fit if the pinch frame is cut out or is it to long and wide it's out of a 66 new Yorker

Gonna require a lot of cutting and measuring. But a fella put a shocker sub under a dippy..so its possible. Judy howmuch work is it worth to you

Keep that in mind an it will work. We cut a frame in 6 pieces to make it fit under the body we wanted it to an it's still running strong 11 derbys later.

Unless it’s a heavily modified y frame I wouldn’t waste my time. Seems like a lot of work for a front frame that isn’t stellar to begin with. If it’s a full weld sub with plates and the y closed in then I’d say it would be worth the effort.

I can run 8 plates a dp weld a arms foreword and can have 8 inches of shock in or on the frame and I have a built impala bumper for it

that's the plan has any one ever pitched one before or is it really needed I've only ran one y frame before it held up against a mid 70s caddy but I'd like this to be a little better then the last one

no I have one out of a p71 but rules say Ford on Ford Chrysler on Chrysler gm on gm do i can't do that

The 60s are pretty straight the 70s have Lil more upper ward angle but still wouldn't pitch one. Put a level on it an see how straight it already is. |

well did a bunch of meserments and all I have to do is cut the old frame out and the y frame will go back in its place
