I just picked up the car for free. It's my first Cadillac derby car. The rules are pretty much "stock." Meaning no reforcing frames, no more then 5 lugs, ect. My question is, is it a good idea to attempt to make this car. I have about a month to get it done. It has the ht4100 engine in it. I don't even know if it even turns over yet. Or would I have better luck fixing up my 76ish chevy biscayne. It got pretty beat up from last years derby due to I only had a week to get the car done, and only having forward gears. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

U r currently in the model section, I’ll post links to the metric caddy and 74-6 gm tips and tricks page. Personally I would put the A sbc motor in the caddy and run it. Small block Chevy’s are all over Turbo 350’s and 400’s aren’t hard to find and work great too. Welcome to wecrash.
