I have read through shocker link seems it's a mixed reveiw on which bumpers these cars hold up well with. Wanted to see what a poll would show. This is a stock class. 4 down tubes with gas tank protector an flat stacked leafs. Hardnosed bumper with mopar shock behind it down the side of frame.

Gotta think about the leverage tho on a Mopar pointy that your putting on the frame. But then you got the guys that ran flat bumpers an nose went down.

What’s your bumper and bracket rule? That makes a big difference.

It's hard to use stock and pointy in the same sentence. Pointies are great for intimidation and cool guy points. But most frames can't handle them. Especially in any type of stock type build. Many hard cars can't even handle a pointy. JMO

Yes most stock cant handle a pointy but i figured id post it in the poll to see which one people liked to run on their stock mopars. Not sure why the flat bumpers people had their nose go down. Could of been a weak seam, someone got over the bumper. running loaded bumper an I'm hardnosing the bumper an putting the bumper mopar shocks behind it so they reach to a-arms that's maxing out the bumper an bumper shock rule.

I wouldn’t be afraid to run a pointy with a rule like that.....also depends what you’re trying to achieve....ruin as much stuff as you can or play conservative to try and win.
Pre plate allowed? Plates after heat? No repair plates at all?

I've used both in stock type builds.with stock shocks on it i'd lean towards a good 74-78 Newport front tho.Now if ya can hardnose bumper I would run a pointy.Depends on if ya want to win the show or be the show also.

Waiting to hear back from promotor. Maybe a little rule change on plates. May get eight 3/16 thick plates 4 by 6 on nose. With a arms forward having shocks. An the 8 plates on nose what bumper would be your choice.

You’d dish out more damage with a pointy, but you’d start strait longer with the flat

If you like pointys it will be fine. A shocker can take it. With that being said I don't like pointys so I don't run them. I've been running a Córdoba bumper

That’s a lot of plates in my part of the world......without a doubt I’d go with a pointy.

I got the thumbs up for the plates. How big of a point does a Doba measure to be off hand anyone?
