So the passenger class is not a stockish class anymore The Stock classes have really, really caught on. We needed another class so we decided to split our last years stock class. After making the rules for a pure BONEstock class, I couldn't leave that as the sister to the Passenger class for the safety reasons included in the build. All that has really been added to the old stock class is the allowance of protectors for the engine, the seam weld a-arm forward, and door and trunk welding as an option. So, really it still is a stock'er class, but with some room to work on a car to answer your question. It is NOT a build class by any means. If these couple new add-on's don't work out for the drivers and the show for the mild weld class, they will be removed for next year.

There have been numerous people ask about the rearend rule in the Passenger Class/ Mild Weld. The rule will be clarified for next year along with a couple others, but to make it easier for now, you are allowed to use a stock 5 lug rearend. No bracing. No 8 lug. Must be stock control arms. If the control arms need shortened you can cut and reweld the seam only, there can be no extra metal added. If they need lengthened, you must use likewise style control arms and splice in the extra length, rewelding only the seams, no extra material may be added. You can NOT have all thread shocks, they must be factory style shocks. Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion. Thanks, Earl
