MODIFIED STOCK CLASS
No trucks, vans, ambulances, jeeps, carry-alls, limousines, 4-wheel drives, hearses, Chrysler Imperials or imperial frames. 74 Imperials and newer are shocker style are ok.
BODIES: No creasing or bending of the body until after inspection. All tail light panels will remain in stock position and will not be allowed to be altered even after inspection.
All cars should be fairly level in appearance. Rear bumper height should not be lower than 18 inches (bottom of bumper).
SPACERS FOR CORE SUPPORT ARE TO BE NO LARGER THAN 4 INCHES TALL 2 by 2 square tubing only. ALL SPACERS WILL BE MEASURED!
NO ALL THREAD in the hood or trunk.
BODY:
All cars must be stripped before you enter the fair grounds. INTERIOR, GLASS, LIGHT’S, SEAT’S, ECT.
Body bolts can be changed but cannot be any bigger then a 3/4 nut (if you put a 3/4 inch wrench it should fit)you must have the factory rubber mount with the metal in it! FACTORY STYLE MOUNTING ONLY. The four in the trunk area can be mounted solid with no spacer. The core support may be bolted with an aftermarket bolt.
NO RE-SKINNING OF BODY OR FLOORS PANS. Any covering of the rust must be bolted in metal only. Chain, wire, or some type of steel for windshield protection for driver.
FRAME:
There is to be no welding on the frame for any reason (except for A-frames forward). Frames can be notched. NO FRAME CREASING. (2) 4x8 plate’s quarter inch in thickness on the outside of the frame only. Frames are not to be shortened. However, on the 80's Lincolns you are allowed to shorten the front frame rails to match a crown vic. NO PLATES ARE ALLOWED IN-BETWEEN CRUSH BOX AND A-ARMS. NO TILTING, FRAME PITCHING, or COLD BENDING.
DOORS: Doors can only be chained or #9 wired in 8 SPOTS (UNLIMITED WRAPS).
TRUNK:
Trunk lids must be open for inspection. No wedging or bending of the trunk lids until after inspection. Trunks: WIRE or CHAIN IN 6 SPOTS ON TRUNK. YOU MAY CHANGE THE BACK 4 MOUNTS USING 3/4 inch (same as body) " OR SMALLER BOLTS WITH A 3"X 3"PLATE. Trunk lid must have a 12 inch hole cut in the center (it will be measured).
BUMPERS:
ALL SHOCKS/BRACKETS MUST MATCH CAR MANUFACTURER. YOU MAY LOAD YOUR FRONT BUMPER AND IT MAY BE WELDED SOLID TO THE BUMPER SHOCK AND FRAME BRACKETS.
NO HOME MADE SHOCKS OR BRACKETS ALLOWED. NO HOME MADE V-TYPE BUMPERS. Do not remove bumper brackets and relocate, stock position or cut off! ***You may use a 6x6 square tubing for front bumper only*** On a suicide door Lincoln your bumper must be welded on the front frame area using no shocks...
HOOD:
HOOD MAY BE SECURED IN 4 PLACES WITH #9 WIRE WRAPPED or CHAIN. 4 - TIE DOWNS. YOU MAY PUT SOME SMALL BOLTS IN THE HOOD ONCE YOU HAVE CUT OUT EXHAUST HOLES OR INSPECTION HOLES TO PREVENT FLOPPY METAL, 10 MAXIMUM.
TIRES: NO TIRE BIGGER THEN A 16 INCH, ANY TIRE CAN BE USED EXCEPT FOR STUDDED OR SPLIT RIMS. VALVE STEM PROTECTORS OK
CAGE: A 4 POINT STYLE CAGE WILL BE ALLOWED NO BIGGER THAN 4 INCH. PIPE OR BAR BEHIND THE SEAT WILL BE AT LEAST 4 INCHES AWAY FROM FRONT SEAT. ALL DOWN LEGS WILL GO STRAIGHT DOWN TO BODY OR FRAME *(TWO ANGLED LEGS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE REAR OF THE CAGE TO THE FRAME 6 inches away from the ARCH)DASH BAR WILL BE OVER STOCK STEERING COLUMN MOUNT AND AT LEAST 6 INCHES FROM THE COWL AREA AND 8 INCHES FROM THE TRANSMISSION TUNNEL. FRONT DOWN LEG MUST BE 6 INCHES FROM ANY FRAME BODY MOUNT AREA. TWO KICKER STYLE LEGS WILL BE ALLOWED OFF THE DASH BAR TO THE BACK OF A FRAMES All cages must be welded to the top of the frame or body only. Do not put any of the cage assembly inside the frame!
ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS:
Engine cradles, distributor protectors, and homemade transmission bells are allowed in modified stock class.
AFTERMARKET TRANSMISSION BELL HOUSING ARE ALLOWED
ANY ENGINE TRANSMISSION SWAP IS ALLOWED IN ANY CAR SET UP. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROTECTORS ON ENGINE THEY CANNOT REINFORCE THE CAR BODY OR FRAME IN ANY WAY. AFTERMARKET ENGINE MOUNTS ARE ALLOWED, THEY CAN BE BOLTED OR WELDED INTO PLACE.
Do not weld chains to hold engine down to frame. You may weld a plate from the engine mount to the engine cradle.
A PORTABLE GAS TANK AND BATTERY MUST BE MOVED TO THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR. ALL BATTERIES MUST BE SECURED AND COVERED. GAS TANKS MUST BE REMOVED AND SECURED IN THE REAR SEAT AREA AND COVERED. GAS TANK PROTECTORS MUST BE INSIDE THE FRAME RAILS AND 4 INCHES FROM ANY SHEET METAL. Coolers for transmission ect. may be mounted in the car.
RADIATORS:
RADIATORS MUST REMAIN IN STOCK LOCATION WITH NO REINFORCEMENT. NO FAN PROTECTORS ON RADIATORS. Straps must be used to secure it, or wire, or stock mounting only.
REAR ENDS: YOU MAY WELD SPIDER GEARS AND ADD LOWER GEAR RATIO'S or change rear end. You can chain rear end (DO NOT WELD CHAINS TO FRAME) You may tack weld or wire in rear coils springs on sedans. You can run a 8 lug rear end as long as it does not reinforce the car in anyway. You can have homemade trailing arms on the rear end (stock location).
SLIDER DRIVE SHAFTS WILL BE ALLOWED
Aftermarket steering columns are allowed & You can lower steering columns and add knuckles.
SUSPENSIONS: YOU MAY WELD A BOLT ON THE FRAME AND IT CAN PROTRUDE THROUGH THE A-FRAME AND BOLT IT DOWN DUE TO BAD SPRINGS or Spring spacers. Chains are allowed around the rear end. Do not weld them to the frame. NO WELDING OF A-FRAMES in ANYWAY, YOU CAN HAVE SOLID OR HOMEMADE TIE RODS. MUST HAVE FACTORY CAR SHOCKS ONLY!
NO AFTERMARKET SPINDLES
Factory OEM front coil spring only.
