I can weld directly to frame. It just seems to be awfully low. I would like it a bit higher for better protection.

Raise the front suspension so it sits higher. I can't remember did you say it was 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive?

If you can get the suspension raised up that would solve the height issue. Maybe you can jack up suspension and then weld a rod of some sort or a piece of tubing between upper and lower control arm.

The truck must remain factory height. I could probably get away with raising it a couple inches but, I would like it higher. I will see what I can come up with.

I am allowed 4"x4" frame repair plates. Where do you think the best places would be to put them?
