105 in Denver for car bodies. Only $90 in Atwood, but 105 miles closer for me & I can only carry about 6-7 tons max, so Atwood it is. $100 in Greeley, but no Saturdays and it's only 20 miles closer than Denver.

My dad got 95 in Colby a few weeks ago but I didn’t have my stuff ready and I wasn’t sure I wanted to haul it for that. I’ve sat on it this long I just as well hold off a little longer. There was a guy in town a week or so ago paying 50 a ton at your place and he’d do the work. But......he wouldn’t do it for just a little iron, he wanted 10 ton+.

Local yard in northern OH advertising $155 a ton.
Don't know why, but recently I've been watching you tube videos of some scrapper guys. One of them was talking about hoarding copper for at least a couple years because some of the copper mines are running dry and they are having to go to more remote areas to mine which is more expensive so they are expecting copper prices to double in the next few years. Anybody else heard of this?

Just gotta figure if the extra money is worth the extra miles. For me, it's not worth an extra $20/ton. I can only haul 6 ton at a time, give or take. 55 miles to Ogallala, 75 to Atwood, 105 to North Platte, 165 to Greeley or Cheyenne, 185 to Denver, 205 to Kearney. Atwood, Cheyenne & Greeley have the added bonus of on-site u-pull-it yards to play in. I figure that in too when deciding which way to go.

I’m not sure about Atwood but Greeley, Kearney and Denver are all about 180 miles. I typically end up finding things to do in Denver when I go so it ends up as a mini vacation. I’ve been dragging my feet for a long time waiting for the price to go up, I may just hold on a little longer. Sure wish we could get to that 200+ dollar mark for a couple weeks, I’d haul the crap out of stuff.

Well, it kind of is like one...do what I gotta do there & get out. But if the price there goes stupid high compared to everywhere else like it did about 10 years ago......
